Following the early morning breakdown of Sengkang & Punggol LRT Line on Tuesday, SBS Transit will commission urgent maintenance this Weekend
Some commuters were trapped, and many were late for work as the result of the unexpected power trip early hour of 1st October on both Sengkang & Punggol LRT. To prevent this from happening, SBS Transit will commission urgent maintenance on the both lines over the weekend. Also included are planned changes this weekend.
1) Sengkang & Punggol LRT: Urgent Maintenance
On the evening of 4th October (Friday), Both Sengkang & Punggol LRT will end its service earlier at around 10.15pm, and on 5th October (Saturday), Service will only commence later at around 8 am to make way for urgent maintenance works.
2) Sengkang LRT (A & D) will only operate at 5.30pm on Sunday
On Sunday, 6th October, both Sengkang East and West LRT service will only operate on single direction only up until 5.30pm. Route A & D will be closed to accommodate maintenance work on the systems. Passengers still can use the LRT but expect longer journey times to the Sengkang LRT/MRT Station.
