    Public Transport Changes for London

    Bakerloo Line 

    Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and May Bank Holiday 6 May, there will be no service on the entire line. Replacement bus services operate.

    District Line  

    Saturday 4 until Monday 6 May, there will be no service between Aldgate East and Barking. Replacement buses operate.

    Hammersmith & City Line 

    Saturday 4 until Monday 6 May, there will be no service between Hammersmith and Barking. Replacement buses operate east of Aldgate East.

    Jubilee Line

    Saturday 4 May, between 01:30 and 04:30, and Sunday 5 May, between 03:50 and 05:50, there will be no service between Wembley Park and Waterloo.

    Overground

    Sunday 5 and Bank Holiday Monday 6 May, there will be no service between Euston and Willesden Junction. Replacement bus services operate.

    Saturday 4 May, there will be no service between Euston and Watford Junction. Use replacement buses between Queens Park, Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford Junction.

    Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and Bank Holiday Monday 6 May, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. Replacement buses operate between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters (for South Tottenham), and between Walthamstow Central and Barking. Replacement bus services operate.

    Until further notice, reduced service between Gospel Oak and Barking. A temporary timetable is in place, with four car trains running every 30 minutes. Supplementary bus services will also run. Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May, the 2325 train from Gospel Oak to Barking will not run and the last departure will be at 2248.

    DLR

    On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May, trains will not stop at Custom House for ExCeL station. This is due to station works. Use either Royal Victoria or Prince Regent stations for the ExCeL Centre


    National Rail updates for London and the South East

    No trains to or from London Euston from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

    National Rail services affected:

    • Caledonian Sleeper between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central / Aberdeen / Inverness / Fort William and London Euston
    • London Northwestern Railway between Northampton / Birmingham New Street / Tring / Crewe and London Euston
    • London Overground between Watford Junction and London Euston
    • Southern between Milton Keynes Central and Clapham Junction / East Croydon
    • Virgin Trains between Birmingham New Street / Chester / Holyhead / Manchester Piccadilly / Liverpool Lime Street / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh and London Euston

    No trains to / from London Fenchurch Street from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May
    • Trains will be diverted to London Liverpool Street.
    • London Fenchurch Street – Ockendon – Southend Central services will run between Upminster and Grays only.
    • London Fenchurch Street – Rainham – Grays services will be replaced by a shuttle train service between Grays and Upminster.
    • Customers travelling from Rainham / Purfleet for London should use replacement buses to / from Upminster. A replacement bus service will also operate between Rainham and Dagenham Dock.

    Ticket acceptance is in place with the following operators to help you with your journey:

    • London Underground District Line between Tower Hill and Upminster
    • London Underground Jubilee Line between West Ham and Stratford
    • Docklands Light Railway between Tower Gateway and Stratford
     
    East Midlands Trains
    Reduced train service to / from London St Pancras International from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

    On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, a reduced East Midlands Trains service will operate to / from London St Pancras International. Trains will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual, with a few trains being partially or completely cancelled.

    Greater Anglia
    Buses replace trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

    Overhead electric wire renewal work is taking place between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster closing the line. Buses will replace trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster.

    Great Northern
    Buses replace overnight trains between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North from Monday 6 to Thursday 9 May

    Engineering work is taking place each night from 23:45 to 05:00, finishing 05:00 Friday morning, between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North, closing all lines. Buses will replace trains between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North

    Great Western Railway

    Buses replace trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Chichester from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

    Buses will replace trains between Newbury and Bedwyn, and also between Swindon and Pewsey.  High Speed services between London and the South West will be diverted, and will run on alternative routes. Local services between Swindon and Westbury will be retimed as a result of these diversions.

    Amended service at Burnham on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May

    The following trains will not call at Burnham or Taplow:

    • 00:14 Reading to London Paddington.
    • 00:34 London Paddington to Reading.
    • 05:10 Reading to London Paddington.
    • 05:25 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway.
    • 05:48 Reading to London Paddington.
    • 22:12 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway.
    • 22:43 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway.
    • 22:52 Reading to London Paddington
    • 22:56 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington.
    • 23:20 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway.
    • 23:43 London Paddington to Reading.
    • 23:49 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington.

    Customers to / from Burnham or Taplow should use replacement buses running between Slough and Burnham / Taplow.

    Sunday

    The 00:05 London Paddington to Reading service will not all at Burnham. Customers to travel via replacement road transport via Slough. From the start of service, trains between London Paddington and Reading / Didcot Parkway will not call at Burnham all day. Customers should use road transport via Slough. There is no Sunday service at Taplow

    Buses replace trains between Maidenhead and Bourne End / Marlow from 23:00 on Saturday 4 and all day Sunday 5 May

    On Saturday, the following trains will not run and will be replaced by buses:

    • 22:51 and 23:44 Maidenhead to Marlow
    • 23:17 Marlow to Maidenhead

    On Sunday, the 00:10 Marlow to Maidenhead service will be replaced by a bus at 00:19.

    • From the start of service, an hourly replacement bus service will operate all day between Maidenhead and Bourne End / Marlow.
    Southeastern 
    Amended service in the Grove Park area on Saturday 4 May between London Cannon Street and Orpington, between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks and between Grove Park and Bromley North

    Services will be revised as follows:

    • Mainline services via between Ashford and London via Tonbridge will be diverted to and from London Victoria.
    • Hastings line trains will be diverted and journey times will be extended.
    • ‘Stopping’ services between Sevenoaks and London Charing Cross will not run. There will be no trains between Chislehurst and Grove Park, inclusive.
    • There will be no service between Grove Park and Bromley North all day.
    • Replacement buses will run between Orpington and Lewisham. You may also use your ticket on London Underground services between Southeastern London terminal stations, and on
    • London Bus routes 162 and 261 between Grove Park and Bromley North.
    Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Sidcup / Orpington on Monday 6 May
    • Trains via Paddock Wood – Trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Dover Priory will be diverted to run to and from London Victoria. Customers will be able to use London London Underground at no extra cost between Victoria, Embankment (for Charing Cross), Charing Cross, Waterloo, Southwark (for Waterloo East) and London Bridge.
    • Trains via Hastings – Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings will be retimed and be diverted to run via an alternative route between London Bridge and Orpington. London Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells (semi-fast services) will not run. Hildenborough will be served by trains running between London Victoria and Tonbridge.
    • Trains via Grove Park – Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Orpington via Grove Park. Trains will not run between Grove Park and Bromley North. Stations between Orpington and Sevenoaks will be served by trains running between London Victoria and Tonbridge. Customers can use London Buses at no extra cost between Grove Park & Bromley North
    • Trains via Sidcup – Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Sidcup. A shuttle train service will run between Sidcup & Dartford.
    • Trains via Bexleyheath – Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford will be retimed and will be extended to run between London Charing Cross and Gravesend.
    • Trains via Woolwich Arsenal – London Cannon Street circular services will run between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Greenwich / Woolwich and will not run via Sidcup.
    • Trains via Hayes – Trains between London Charing Cross and Hayes will be retimed and call additionally at Lewisham. London Cannon Street to Hayes services will not run.
    • Trains via Bromley South – Trains between London Victoria and Orpington will be extended to run to Tonbridge calling at all stations between Orpington and Tonbridge.
    South Western Railway
    Reduced service between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction on Monday 6 May

    The following services via Barnes will not run between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction:

    • Between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside
    • Between London Waterloo and Reading
    • Between London Waterloo and Weybridge via Brentford
    • All London Waterloo circulars via Brentford and via Kingston

    Customers should use other South Western Railway trains between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction

    Southern

    Buses replace trains between Lewes and Seaford on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May

    Buses replace trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Chichester from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May

    Thameslink
    Amended Thameslink services at London St Pancras International from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May
    Saturday and Monday
    • Trains between Bedford and Brighton will not run as a through service. Trains will run between Bedford and London St Pancras International high level platforms and between London St Pancras International low level platforms and London Blackfriars / London Bridge / Brighton.
    • Trains will be unable to call a Kentish Town. Replacement buses will run between West Hampstead Thameslink and London St Pancras International.
    • Trains between Luton and Rainham will run between City Thameslink or London Blackfriars and Rainham only. Customers should use alternative Thameslink trains between Luton and City Thameslink / London Blackfriars.
    • Trains between St Albans City and Wimbledon will run to a reduced timetable and will depart either from London St Pancras International low level platforms or from London Blackfriars to / from Wimbledon. Customers should use alternative Thameslink trains between St Albans City and London St Pancras International or London Blackfriars.
    Sunday
    • From start for service until 09:15, trains will be replaced by buses between Mill Hill Broadway and London St Pancras International.
    • After 09:15, trains will run between Bedford and London St Pancras International high level platforms.
    • Trains between Bedford and Brighton will run between London Bridge and Brighton. Valid tickets can be used on Northern Line London Underground services between London St Pancras International and London Bridge.
    • Trains are then diverted to run between London Bridge and Brighton. Customers should use London Underground on any reasonable route between London St Pancras International and London Bridge.
    • Trains between Kentish Town and Rainham will not run. Customers should use alternative Thameslink services between Kentish Town and London Bridge the Southeastern services between London Bridge and Rainham to complete their journey.
    • Trains to / from Sutton / Wimbledon will run between Sutton / Wimbledon and London Blackfriars / London St Pancras International low level platforms.
