Circuit Breaker measures are now in effect! Please practice safe distancing whenever you’re out to work or getting essential goods to keep yourself and your community healthy. Land Transport Authority had put together measures to help commuters stay safe whenever they are traveling. Click here to find out their effort in making sure our public transport safe
Here are the changes:
1) COVID-19 Circuit Breaker Period – Changes to public transport services
Circuit Breaker Measure is now in effect. During this period, all non-essential workplaces will be closed and enhanced social distancing measures applies in all public places including public transport services in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. During this period, 41 routes from Franchised Bus Service, Express Bus Services, Night Buses, and City Direct Bus Service is suspended. More details on the suspension can be found here.
2) Early Closure & Late Opening of Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)
To facilitate additional engineering hours to prepare the upcoming TEL Stage 2 which is scheduled to open later in the year, the Thomson-East Coast Line will be ending its service earlier at 10.00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays & starting its service later at 6.30 am on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 April 2020 to 26 July 2020
4) Movement Restriction Order in Malaysia
Reminder: All cross-border services between Malaysia and Singapore had been suspended since 18th March and will continue to be suspended until 31st March or until the Movement Restriction Order had been lifted. However, rail services by KTM, Shuttle Tebrau will continue its operation as usual with the exception where trips into Singapore can only be boarded by non-Malaysians and trips into Malaysia can only be boarded by Malaysians citizens.
5) Bus service diversion for Qing Ming [CANCELLED]
During Sunday, 29 March 2020, from the first bus till 2.00 pm, route 975 will be skipping 2 stop in conjunction with Qing Ming Festival
