    Weekend Updates

It’s the final weekend of Circuit Breaker before we enter gradual recovery phases on 2nd June! It is definitely exciting to move out of the 2 month long Circuit Breaker, but the risk isn’t gone yet hence we still recommend practicing social distancing whenever you’re out and bout.

Apart from there, there are not many changes coming this weekend.

    Here are the changes:

    1) COVID-19 Circuit Breaker Period – Changes to public transport services

Circuit Breaker Measure is now in effect. During this period, all non-essential workplaces will be closed and enhanced social distancing measures applies in all public places including public transport services in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. During this period, 63 routes from Franchised Bus Service, Express Bus Services, Night Buses, and City Direct Bus Service is suspended. More details on the suspension can be found here.

    2) Earlier closure times & reduced Frequency on MRT & LRT Network

Due to the dropping demand and ridership in our public transport services, starting today (17 Apr 2020), all the MRT & LRT lines will have its frequencies reduced and service hour end earlier throughout the whole period of Circuit Breaker Period.

    • Reduction in Frequency
      • All MRT Lines except Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL): Not more than 5 minutes during peak hours & around 10 minutes during off-peak hours
      • Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL): Around 7 minutes during peak hours & around 12 minutes during off-peak hours
    • Service Hour Ending Earlier
