PTV Service Update

June 9, 2021

    Coronavirus – COVID-19

When travelling on public transport you must wear a fitted face mask covering your nose and mouth and ensure you wear it for your entire journey.

    Queen’s Birthday long weekend

There’ll be disruptions to our train, tram and road networks this Queen’s Birthday long weekend from Friday 11 June to Monday 14 June.

As part of Victoria’s Big Build, works on the Metro Tunnel, Sunbury Line Upgrade, level crossing removals and Regional Rail Revival Projects will continue.

There’ll be critical maintenance on the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Frankston lines and major works in the City Loop, as well as Route 58 tram stop upgrades at South Yarra Station.

Most public transport services will run to a Saturday timetable on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday on Monday. However, some bus services may be altered or will not run. Services on Saturday 12 June and Sunday 13 June will run to a regular Saturday and Sunday timetable, respectively.
Plan ahead and check your timetable before you travel.

    Major works this winter

As part of Victoria’s Big Build, major works will continue in June, July and August to remove more than 20 dangerous and congested level crossings, including the Ferguson Street level crossing in Williamstown. The Metro Tunnel, Sunbury Line Upgrade and Regional Rail Revival projects on the Geelong, Warrnambool, Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill lines will also progress.

Critical maintenance works will also take place on our rail and tram networks to ensure services continue to run reliably. There’ll be disruptions to the public transport and road networks while these works take place. Be sure to plan ahead and allow extra time.
