🚌 Leeds Public Transport: Rob Burrow Marathon

May 7, 2026

On Sunday, 10 May 2026, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon & Half Marathon will take place. To allow the race to happen safely, many buses will be affected across Leeds and the surrounding areas from the start of service until approximately 17:30.

    ⏱️ Key Station Changes

    • Otley Bus Station: This station will be closed between 09:00 and 15:00. During this time, temporary stops will be available on Cattle Market Street.

    • Headingley Area: Significant road closures will be in place around the stadium for the 09:00 (Marathon) and 10:00 (Half Marathon) starts.

    πŸ”„ Service Adjustments

Routes will be diverted or shortened to avoid the race route, particularly in Headingley, Otley, and North Leeds:

    • Routes 19, 19A, 56: Will use alternative roads such as Kirkstall Hill and Spen Lane.

    • Routes 23, 24, 27, 28: Diversions will be in place via Burley Road; service 28 will finish its journey on the Ring Road.

    • Routes 33, 34, X84: These services will bypass Otley Bus Station during its closure.

    • Service 91: This route will be suspended until approximately 17:30.

    • Airport Services (A2 & A3): Some morning trips will terminate at the Airport rather than continuing to Harrogate.

πŸƒ Event Shuttle & Park & Ride

Special transport is available for runners and spectators (pre-booking recommended):

    • City Centre Shuttle: From Cookridge Street to Headingley (06:45–17:00).

    • Park & Ride Shuttles: Frequent services from Elland Road and Stourton starting at 06:45.
