Updated public-transit guidelines

Dear passengers,

We have collected the latest updates you should know regarding public transit services and guidelines these days.

🚌 Bus Lines – Service hours and passenger capacity

Bus lines are operating as usual: Sunday-Thursday until the end of service, Fridays until Shabbat evening, and Saturdays until the end of service.

The passenger capacity in intracity, intercity, and articulated bus lines is 32. 30 and 50.

🚆 Israel Railways – Entry pass issuing and more 

Starting Moovit’s newest app version (5.50) which is now available in the app store, one can issue an entry pass for Israel Railways. straight from the Trip Plan. 

In case your trip plan includes a train ride, a new button will appear: ‘Book an entry voucher’ which will offer the option to book the voucher fastly. 

*Note that the entry voucher DOES NOT REPLACE the regular train ticket which shall be paid for in advance or in the train station cashier.

🛴 🚗 Micro Mobility and Carpool

The micro-mobility providers which are available mainly in the center of Israel are operating as usual and they can be found via the Trip Plan or in the ‘Stations’ tab.

Moovit Carpool is also available and once can plan any trip and we will do our best to connect you to a driver along your route.

😷 Remember your face mask

We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask in every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.

🎫 Ride payments in public transportation

Buses – payment is allowed only with a Rav Kav card that has been charged in advance.

Israel Railways – payment is available with a Rav Kav card that has been charged in advance in the Israel Railways website or at the station.
