COVID-19 Miami & South FL Transit Updates

    MDT Updates
    • All transit fares will be suspended until further notice.
    • Auto reloads for monthly pass holders will be suspended.
    • Metrobus customers will be required to board through the vehicle’s rear entrance. Accommodations for riders with disabilities will continue to be made.
    • Blocked seats closer to operator’s cabin to ensure social distancing

    Metrobus Updates:

    • Various Metrobus routes have adjusted frequencies. Please visit the agency service updates website for more information on specific routes that may have changed
    • As of Monday, June 29, 2020, the following routes will be serviced by alternative vehicles:
      • 34
      • 39
      • 150

    95 Express Golden Glades

    • As of Wednesday, July 1, 2020, the following routes will be services by alternative vehicles:
    • 57
    • 135
      • Routes, schedules, and frequencies will not change due to vehicle type.
        • Various Metrobus routes have adjusted frequencies. Please visit the agency service updates website
        • All Express Metrobus routes, listed below, have been suspended until further notice:
          • 836 Express
          • 175 Express
          • 95 Express/Broward Blvd to Downtown
          • 95 Express/Broward Blvd to Civic Center
          • 95 Express/Sheridan to Downtown
          • 95 Express/Sheridan to Civic Center
        • Late-night service for the following routes has been suspended:
          • Route 3
          • Route 11
          • Route 27
          • Route 38
          • Route 77
          • Route 112
          • Route 119
          • Route 246
          • Route 500
        • Late-night riders using transit for essential trips between midnight and 5 a.m. can use the Go Nightly on-demand ride option
        • The following Metrobus routes, which have overlapping service, have been suspended until further notice due to low ridership. Riders can use alternative routes to get to their destination:
          • Route 39 overlaps with route 31
          • Route 79 riders can take route 112/L
          • Route 204 users can take route 104
          • Route 288 riders can use route 88

    Metrorail Updates:

    • Metrorail service hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
    • Passengers heading to the Miami International Airport station will need to transfer at Earlington Heights station to catch the Orange Line train
    • Orange Line train available only from Earlington Heights. Frequency is every 15 minutes all day on weekdays.
    • During the morning peak hours on weekdays, Metrorail Green Line trains on the mainline traveling between Dadeland South and Palmetto stations will run every 10 minutes. Off-peak frequency will be every 15 minutes on weekdays.

    Metromover Updates:

    • Metromover service hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
    • The average frequency will be approximately five minutes all day weekdays

    SFRTA/Tri-Rail Update

    • SFRTA/Tri-Rail trains are running on a reduced schedule until further notice.
    • Beginning June 29th Tri-Rail service is increasing – more info. can be found HERE

     

    Broward County Transit (BCT) Update

    • BCT is operating a Saturday schedule daily, Monday through Saturday, with modified schedules for routes 1, 18, 19, 22, 60, and 72.

    • Sunday schedules remain the same.

    • Limited stop (the “Breeze”) service has been suspended temporarily.

    • Express buses now operate on 30-minute schedules.

    • On Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th, Broward County Transit will operate on a Sunday holiday service schedule and return to a modified Saturday schedule on Monday, July 6th.

    Palm Tran Update

    • Beginning May 18, 2020, Palm Tran will resume regular service.  Passengers must wear masks.

    Brightline Update

    • Brightline has suspended its service until further notice. For more information see Brightline’s agency website HERE

    Treasure Coast Connector (St Lucie County) Update

    • Treasure Coast Connector transit is now running regular schedules for its routes. For more info. on route scheduling see the agency website here
    • At this time, Treasure Coast Connector is strongly suggesting that passenger use face masks/coverings for the safety of other passengers and the drivers.

    MARTY (Martin County Transit) Update

    • MARTY is continuing to provide essential service by running regular schedules while social distancing recommendations are to be followed by passengers
