CTA is adding additional service to the following bus routes! These routes are receiving additional service as a result of more bus operators being added to CTA’s workforce. This is part of CTA’s commitment to providing pre-pandemic levels of bus service by the end of 2024.

In addition, the following service changes will be implemented.
• #84 Peterson – Later Evening Service – Effective Mon, Dec 23
Weekday evening service will end later in both directions to improve
connections to Metra’s Peterson/Ridge station.
• #120 Ogilvie/Streeterville Express and 121 Union/Streeterville Express –
Earlier Morning/Later Evening Service and Improved Frequency –
Effective Mon, Dec 23
Morning AM service (northbound trips only) will depart approximately 45
minutes earlier. Later PM Evening Service (southbound trips only) will
depart approximately 20 minutes later. Service frequency on both routes will
operate every 7-15 minutes during the peak rush periods.
