πŸš† Greater Anglia & c2c Rail Network Updates

    🚨 Late-Night London Entry Diversions (Monday 8 – Thursday 11 June)

    • London Liverpool Street to Cheshunt Line: Late-night and early-morning services are operating under localised diversions. If you are catching commuter trains past 23:00 or before 05:30 on weeknights, allow extra travel time and check your connection platforms.

🚧 Station Accessibility Closure: Southend East (Essex)

A major upgrade project is underway to install step-free lifts at Southend East station:

    • Road Closure (11 June – 16 June): Starting Thursday, Riviera Drive directly in front of the station will be completely closed to traffic for material deliveries. Follow the signed local road diversions.

    • Northern Entrance Shut: The northern station entrance remains entirely closed until further notice. Use the southern entrance for Platform 1 (London-bound) and cross the internal footbridge for Platform 2 (Shoeburyness-bound).

🚌 Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Bus Restructures

Significant network tender modifications and route overhauls implemented by the Combined Authority are now actively impacting regional travel patterns:

    🚫 Withdrawn & Swapped Services
    • Service 61 (St Neots Town Shuttle): Has transitioned away from its old operator and is running under a revised and reduced timetable managed by Stephensons of Essex.

    • Service 67 (St Ives to St Neots): Permanently withdrawn due to low passenger numbers.

    • Service 68 (St Ives to Boxworth): Renumbered and restructured as Service 69, now operated by Stephensons of Essex.

    • NHS Waterbeach Shuttle: Permanently withdrawn. Passengers heading toward Royal Papworth Hospital or Addenbrooke’s must now take Service 100 into Cambridge Center and transfer to Stagecoach/A2B lines.

    🟒 Enhanced Peterborough Routes (Routes 23, 24, 25)

A newly relaunched commuter network is active to support business parks and local links:

    • Alwalton Hill: Upgraded to run every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends.

    • Lynch Wood: Upgraded to run every 30 minutes on weekdays with an all-new hourly weekend service. Note that buses now operate in both directions through the business park.

    • Orton Waterville: Frequency enhanced to every 30 minutes between 06:00 and 19:00 on weekdays, and hourly in the late evenings and weekends.
