First Amendment Demonstrations: Route & Schedule Changes

    There are 2 major demonstrations taking place today June 21 in the downtown Washington DC area that will affect routes and lead to street closures:
    • The first will last from 1 pm – TBD
    • The second from 4 pm- 8 pm
    Routes Affected: 16E, 30N, 30S, 32, 36, 42, 52, 54, 63, 64, 70, 74, 79, 80, D4, D6, G8, S2, S4, X2

     • Pennsylvania Avenue from 3rd Street, NW to 15th Street NW
     • Pennsylvania Avenue from 17th Street, NW to 18th Street NW
     • Indiana Avenue from 6th Street, NW to 7th Street NW
     • Jefferson Drive, SW from 3rd Street to 14th Street SW
     • Madison Drive, NW from 3rd Street to 14th Street NW
     • C Street from 17th Street, NW to 19th Street NW
     • C Street from 3rd Street, NW to 6th Street NW
     • D Street from 3rd Street, NW to 8th Street NW
     • D Street from 17th Street, NW to 18th Street NW
     • E Street from 12th Street, NW to 18th Street NW
     • F Street from 12th Street, NW to 18th Street NW

     • 15th Street from Independence Avenue, SW to L Street NW
     • 14th Street from Independence Avenue, SW to L Street NW
     • 13th Street from Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to E Street NW
     • 11th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to E Street NW
     • 10th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to E Street NW
     • 7th Street from Independence Avenue, SW to E Street NW
     • 6th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to E Street NW
     • 4th Street from Independence Avenue, SW to Pennsylvania Avenue NW
    Street closures will be in effect between approximately 6 am and 11:59 pm.

    MARC Camden Line

    • Passengers are reminded that the Camden Line Line continues to operate on the R schedule
    • The following Camden Line trains are operating under the current schedule:- Morning from Camden Yards to Union Station: Train 845 (6:10 am departure), Train 849 (7:10 am departure) and Train 851 (8:05 am departure)
      – Morning from Union Station to Camden Yards: Train 846 (8:00 am departure).- Afternoon from Union Station to Camden Yards: Train 852 (4:43 pm departure), Train 856 (5:58 pm departure), and Train 858 (6:55 pm departure)
      – Afternoon from Camden Yards to Union Station: Train 857 (5:20 pm departure)

    MARC Brunswick Line

    • Passengers are reminded that the Camden Line Line continues to operate on the R schedule
    • The following Brunswick Line trains are operating under the current schedule:

            – Morning to Washington: Train 872 (5:00 am departure from Martinsburg), Train 892 (6:05 am departure from Frederick), Train 878 (6:25 am departure from Martinsburg) and Train 880 (7:45 am departure from Brunswick).

    – Evening departures from Union Station: Train 875 (4:25 pm departure to Martinsburg), Train 877 (4:55 pm departure to Brunswick), Train 893 (5:20 pm departure to Frederick) and Train 881 (6:20 pm departure to Martinsburg). Both Trains 875 and 881 will operate through to Martinsburg.

    • Passengers traveling to Monocacy and Frederick should note that Frederick TransIT has not restored the Meet the MARC shuttle service from Point of Rocks.

    MARC Penn Line

    • Passengers are reminded that the Penn Line continues to operate on the R schedule with limited additional service, as outlined below:

    – Train 403 (am departure from Penn Station), Train 502 (am departure from Union Station, which is making all stops between Washington and Perryville), Train 453 (9:37 pm departure from Penn Station and Train 452 (10:55 pm departure from Union Station).

    – Passengers should also note that Train 537 (2:35 pm departure from Perryville/3:25 pm departure from Penn Station) will only stop at BWI and New Carrollton after departing Penn Station.

    • Penn Line weekend service will be restored to its regular schedule starting Saturday, June 27 –
