    Green/Yellow Metrorail Lines: Plan for 24/7 Trackwork (Buses Replace Trains) in June & July 2020

    Week 2: June 14-20, 2020

    Work zone #1: Green Line Anacostia to L’Enfant Plaza
    End Date: June 20
    Stations closed: Waterfront and Navy Yard-Ballpark

    Customer impact: Free shuttle buses replace trains between Anacostia and L’Enfant Plaza making stops at Navy Yard-Ballpark and Waterfront stations.

    Work zone #2: Yellow Line L’Enfant Plaza to Pentagon
    End Date: June 27
    Stations closed: None in this work zone

    Customer impact:

    • Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Reagan National Airport ONLY. There will be no Yellow Line service in DC or Maryland. (Use Green Line instead.)
    • Customers traveling between DC and Virginia should use the Blue Line and transfer to the Green Line at L’Enfant Plaza, if necessary.

    MTA/MDOT Alerts

    Commuter Bus

    • Effective Monday, June 8, 2020, MDOT MTA Commuter Bus will begin operating the regular S schedule. All trips with an S marked above the trip number will operate. Route 201 will only operate the odd numbered trips, during both the Weekday and Weekend/Holiday schedule.

    • Starting at 4:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 the Hanover Street Bridge-Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge will be closed to through traffic in both directions between Waterview Avenue and Cromwell Street with detours in effect, weather permitting.The Hanover Street-Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge will remain closed until approximately 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 14, 2020, weather permitting.During this closure, the following diversions will be in effect for CityLink Silver and for LocalLinks 67 and 71:

      Southbound: Via the regular route southbound on Hanover Street, toward Cromwell Street, then:
      Right on West Dickman Street
      Left on West Cromwell Street
      Left on South Hanover Street, stay in right lane

      Right on ramp to I-295, Baltimore Washington Parkway – South, Exit 52
      Right on Westport Exit
      Straight on Manokin Street
      Right on Annapolis Road
      Bear left onto Waterview Avenue
      Right on Potee Street, then via the regular route.

      Northbound: Via the regular route northbound on Hanover Street to Waterview Avenue, then:
      Left on Waterview Avenue
      Right on Annapolis Road
      Bear Right onto Russell Street
      Right on Haines Street
      Left on Warner Street
      Left on Bayard Street
      Right on Ridgely Street
      Right on Ostend Street
      Right on Hanover Street
      Left on Wells Street, then via the regular route.

      Southbound: Via the regular route on Cromwell Street to Insulator Drive, then:
      Right on Hanover Street, stay in right lane
      Right onto ramp to I-95 south toward Washington, D.C.
      Right onto ramp to I-295, Baltimore-Washington Parkway – South, Exit 52
      Right onto Westport Exit
      Straight on Manokin Street
      Right on Annapolis Road
      Left on Waterview Avenue
      Right on Potee Street, then via the regular route.

      Left on Waterview Avenue

      Passenger Stop Instructions:
      Operators will board and discharge passengers at all regularly established stops, and at stops along the diversion route, where safe to do so, except in advance of a left turn.
