Weekend Service Update

June 4, 2026
🚇 Dublin Metropolitan Area (Dublin Bus, Luas & Local Rail)
    🎵 Concert Events in Dublin

Large crowds and rolling localized disruptions are expected heading into the weekend due to major summer outdoor concerts:

    • St. Anne’s Park Concerts: Scheduled for Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6.

    • Malahide Castle Events: Starting mid-week on Wednesday, June 10.

    • Expect heavy boarding delays on the Northern DART line and localised Dublin Bus / Go-Ahead Ireland diversions near Raheny, Clontarf, and Malahide during pre- and post-concert hours.

    🚌 Dublin Bus & Go-Ahead Route Diversions

Ongoing roadworks and infrastructure upgrades continue to shift several local corridors:

    • Route 44: Operating under active local diversions.

    • Routes 37 & 38: Temporary adjustments remain active through urban bottlenecks.

    • Route W6 (Go-Ahead): Long-term roadworks near Celbridge continue to divert service and bypass several regular stops.

    🚊 Luas (Tram Network)
    • Both the Red and Green lines are operating on regular weekday and weekend timetables throughout the week ahead. No major track closures are scheduled, but minor peak-hour frequency strains may occur due to ongoing maintenance turnarounds.

🚆 National & Commuter Rail (Iarnród Éireann)

The severe June Bank Holiday weekend shutdown that affected the Southside DART and Dublin-to-Belfast corridors has concluded. Rail lines through central Dublin (Tara Street, Pearse, etc.) have returned to their normal baseline operations.

    • Late-Night Intercity Alterations: Minor scheduling updates and platform adjustments affect select late-evening commuter trains running out of Dublin Connolly. Check the live scheduling board before departure if traveling past 21:00.

🚌 Regional & Intercity Coach Updates
🚧 Bus Éireann Metropolitan Closures (Cork Region)

If you are traveling outside of Dublin to the southern metro network:

    • Leitrim Street Road Closure (Cork City): To facilitate urgent night works, a complete road closure is active nightly from 19:30 to 05:30 until Friday, June 5.

    • Affected Cork Routes: Lines 51, 203, 215, 243, and 248 are executing mandatory diversions via the N20 and Lavitts Quay. Southbound Route 203 will completely bypass the Fairfield Road bus stops.

    • Route 212: Permanently bypassing Centre Park Road stops due to construction through mid-summer; use the alternative stop at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

💶 Citylink Fare & Route Enhancements
    • Fare Adjustments: Effective Tuesday, June 9, Citylink will implement a minor 4% fare adjustment on its 712 commuter route.
