Weekend Service Update

    Major service changes affecting public transportation in Ireland from Friday May 8 through next week.

    🚆 Irish Rail & DART

    • Limerick to Ballybrophy (Saturday, May 9): Due to engineering works between Killonan Junction and Roscrea, all services on this route will be substituted by bus transfers. Bus departure times may vary slightly from the train schedule (e.g., the 07:00 service will depart at 06:45).

    • Maynooth & Phoenix Park Tunnel Lines: Expect normal weekend services, but always check the TFI Live app for short-notice disruptions.

    • Advance Notice (Late May): Engineering works are scheduled for the June Bank Holiday weekend (May 30 – June 1) between Drogheda and Dundalk, affecting Enterprise and Northern Commuter services.

    🚍 Dublin Bus

    • Route L59 (Ongoing): Diversions remain in place due to roadworks; check the app for specific stop closures.

    • Route 44, 44d & 142: Revised routing is now in effect for these services.

    • Concert Season Prep: “Concert Express” services are being highlighted for upcoming events at Malahide Castle and Marlay Park. Users are advised to book these in advance via the Dublin Bus website.

    🍀 Bus Éireann & Regional Updates

    • Galway (Route 401 & 405): Road resurfacing on Ballybane Road continues until approximately Friday, May 8.

      • Route 401: Stops at Monivea Park, Ballybane Shopping Centre, and Rahylin Glebe are not served (09:30–16:00).

      • Route 405: Terminates/commences at St. James’s Road; stops at Rahylin Glebe and Ballybrit B.P. are not served (09:30–16:00).

    • Cork (Route 212 & 241): * Route 212: Permanent roadworks on Centre Park Road mean stops are skipped until July.

      • Route 241: Stops on Ballintubber Road will not be served until Friday, May 15.

    • Eastern Region (Route 101): Temporary bus stop relocation at Balheary Park (Stops 3731 & 3750) remains in effect.

    🚋 Luas (Dublin Light Rail)

    • Red Line: Following the major Bank Holiday closures, full service has resumed between Tallaght/Saggart and The Point.

    • Green Line: Operating a normal schedule. Note that the southbound lift at Phibsborough is currently reported out of service.
