Service changes due to the Jerusalem Marathon ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸšŒ

Dear riders,

On Friday, March 8th, between 04:00 to 14:00, the Jerusalem Marathon will take place throughout the city.

As a result, changes in public transportation routes, delays, and bus stops bypasses are expected.

We have collected updates for you regarding public transit in Jerusalem that are worth getting to know about this weekend.

๐Ÿšˆ Light Rail Jerusalemย 

On the occasion of the Jerusalem Marathon that will take place on Friday 08/03/2024, between the hours of 5:30 and 12:30 (estimated), subject to the instructions of the police, there will be no train service between Ammunition Hill Station and Central Station in both directions.
The first trip at 5:30 will be full each way and then there will be a partial trip service in two segments: Heil Ha-Avir-Ammunition Hill, Central Station-Mount Herzl.
During these hours, for your convenience, Extra operates bus routes between Ammunition Hill and Central Station and back.

 

๐Ÿš Buses

Many traffic routes will be closed due to the Jerusalem Marathon scheduled for Friday, 08/03/2024. Consequently, many bus lines will bypass stations in the area. Here is a list of the affected lines:

Egged

Lines with route/station changes: 1, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 35, 50, 55, 88, 900 (Students line), 42ื.

Lines canceled during the marathon: 7, 9 (A circular line will operateย  from Bituach Leumi to Strauss Street and back to Bituach Leumi), 13, 14, 17, 18 (Line 18 will operate as a circular lineย from Malha to Rabbi Yochanan Ben Zakai Street and back), 19 from Hadassah Har Hatzofim (A shuttle from Nayot Junction to Hadassah Ein Kerem will operate) and line 19 to Har Hatzofim (Line 42ื from Hadassah Ein Kerem to Nayot Junction will operate), 22 (Line 22 will operate as a circular line from Talpiot to Shai Agnon Square and return to Talpiot), 30ื (From Gilo to Har Hatzofim), 34.

Lines operating as usual: 4, 16, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 27a, 28, 29, 30, 33, 39, 52, 63, 64, 64a, 67, 80 (A circular line in the Gilo neighborhood), 87 (A circular line from Giv’at HaMivtar).

Kavim

Lines with route/station changes: 117, 226, 246, 239, 184, 192, 194.

Extra

Lines with route/station changes: 3, 25, 45, 53, 59, 61, 65, 66, 68, 69.

Lines 48 and 48ื will be canceled during the marathon.

Tnufa

Lines with route/station changes: 630.

Superbus

Lines with route/station changes: 793 – Students, 531, 510, 509, 504, 163, 136, 95, 92, 83A, 83, 82, 78, 77A, 77, 75, 74, 72, 71, 31, 91.

Lines canceled only during the marathon (05:00-12:20): 38.

Lines that will not operate at all on marathon day: 2, 49, 90, 97, 517.
