Traffic Updates for the Maccabiah Events ๐Ÿš†

Dear Passengers,

This week, a variety of major events will take place as part of the Maccabiah celebrations, including the traditional Jerusalem Night Run and numerous events at the Expo Tel Aviv complex ๐Ÿ†

As part of the preparations for heavy traffic congestion and high demand, significant changes will apply to traffic arrangements and public transportation in these areas throughout the week.

โš ๏ธ Traffic Arrangementsย 

This coming Tuesday (July 7), starting from 17:00 (5:00 PM), the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:

Ruppin, Rabin, Ben Zvi, Hazaz, Lorch, Fichman, Tchernichovsky, S.Y. Agnon, HaRav Herzog, Shota Rustaveli, Museum Boulevard, Elyashar Way, Brodetsky Way, Balfour Way.

In addition, traffic disruptions are expected on streets intersecting with or adjacent to the race routes. The event is expected to conclude by 23:00 (11:00 PM).

๐Ÿš„ Israel Railways

For the Maccabiah events taking place between Monday and Thursday (July 6-9, 2026) at the Expo Tel Aviv center, located adjacent to the Tel Aviv University – Expo station, train services will operate as follows:

  • Train No. 8180 (Fill & Go method): Will depart from Tel Aviv University – Expo station to Haifa Center HaShmona station. The train will stop at the following stations: Herzliya, Beit Yehoshua, Netanya – Sapir, Netanya, Hadera West, Caesarea – Pardes Hana, Binyamina, Atlit, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, and Haifa Center HaShmona (final station).

    • Estimated departure time: 21:00 (9:00 PM).

  • Route Extension: The routes for trains No. 28, 30, 32, 34, 48, and 50, which operate during off-peak hours on the Beer Sheva โ€“ Tel Aviv Savidor Central line, will be extended, and they will operate all the way to the Tel Aviv University – Expo station.
