We have some great news for everyone heading to First Night for New Year’s Eve!
MBTA is offering FREE service on all services from 8 PM on December 31 through the end of the service day to help support safe celebrations on New Year’s Eve.
MBTA Subway is offering increased service and Commuter Rail will provide extended late-night service to help out everyone heading to and home from the celebrations.
Reminder: MBTA will operate Sunday and Weekend service on New Year’s Day.
December 31: Increased New Year’s Eve Service
🚇Subway runs on a regular weekday schedule until 3 PM. Service increases after 3 PM and will be extended by one hour, ending around 2:30 AM.
🚍⛴🚖Bus, ferry, and The RIDE run on a regular weekday schedule.
🚂Commuter Rail will run on a regular weekday schedule, with the last trains departing at 12:30 AM. No bikes will be allowed after 8PM.
January 1: New Year’s Day Schedule
