PM Modi unveils three new metro corridors in Maharashtra

    Out of these, two corridors of Mumbai Metro Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro-5 and Dahisar East-Meera
    Bhayandar Metro-9 and another one of Pune Metro Phase III.

    PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of three metro corridors and promised to bring more than 275 km long metro rail network for Mumbai by 2024.

    He said “It’s the urban mobility and travel comfort that builds cities and in turn countries. Our thrust, therefore, will revolve around cities such as Mumbai which is also the financial capital of our nation”.

    In Mumbai, Metro-2A(Dahisar to DN Nagar) and Metro-7 (Andheri East to Dahisar East) corridors have achieved 60% progress besides that, three more metro corridors –Metro-2B (DN Nagar to Mankhurd), Metro-3 (Colaba-Bandra-Seepz), and Metro-4 (Vadala-Ghatkopar-Kasarvadavali) are being constructed on a war footing.

    In Pune, the Prime Minister laid the Foundation Stone of Pune Metro Phase-3
