Public-transit changes in Tel Aviv and the return of Israel Railways lines

Dear passengers.

We have collected several main public-transit updates that will take place starting this Friday.

Changes and improvements of public-transit lines in Tel Aviv-Yafo

Starting Friday, January 29, many changes are expected to take place in bus lines and Moniot Sherut in Tel Aviv due to closure of several streets in the city center.

As part of the changes, which will take 6-9 months, many lines will change their number while others will change their route according to the closures.

Southern train stations are expected to return to full service

Starting Wednesday, February 3, southern train stations from Tel Aviv Hagana station are expected to return to full service as the maintenance work which started at the beginning of January will end.


 📃 General public-transit guidelines 

  • Service Hours  – On weekdays and Saturday evenings public transportation lines (except Israel Railways) will operate as usual. Israel Railways continues to operate only between Sundays-Thursdays
  • Ride payments on public transportation  – on buses, cash payment is not allowed, with the exception of Judea and Samaria residents, visually impaired assistants and senior citizens. Payment can be made via Moovit app and Rav Kav. CLICK HERE to register for payments via Moovit
  • Israel Railways Entry Voucher  – For every ride in Israel Railways, an entry voucher must be issued in advance. Please note – if your route is affected by the works mentioned above, you must select the final destination station according to the closure. More details can be found here.

 

We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask in every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
