Street works and works related to the expansion of the tram route network will affect tram services in the summer. The first diversions will start in April. Long term diversions will affect services in Töölö and services between the Opera and Sörnäinen, as well as Pasila, Käpylä and Mäkelänkatu. Short term diversions are expected in Kallio and Munkkiniemi.
Tram 8 will turn towards the city center at the Opera. Replacement bus 8X, Jätkäsaari–Opera

Tram 2 will only run between the Olympia Terminal and Opera Replacement bus 2X, Postitalo–Pasila
Tram route 7 will continue to be diverted via Aleksis Kiven katu
Tram 8 will not run between 13 June and 14 August Replacement bus 8X
Diversion route of trams 3 and 9 in Kallio from 4 April to 10 April
Trams 3 and 9 will run in both directions along Hämeentie and Helsinginkatu, i.e. via Sörnainen Metro Station and Urheilutalo due to excavation works on Siltasaarenkatu and Kaarlenkatu.
Tram 3 will run from Hakaniemi via Hämeentie and Helsinginkatu to Läntinen Brahenkatu.
Tram 9 will run from Hakaniemi via Hämeentie, Helsinginkatu and Läntinen Brahenkatu to Aleksis Kiven katu.
Karhupuisto will not be served. In addition, tram 9 will not serve Fleminginkatu.
Bus 502 will serve Karhupuisto as usual.

The improvement works on Runeberginkatu and Calouniuksenkatu will continue in Töölö between Töölöntori and Ruusulankatu
Tram routes 1 and 2 straight along Mannerheimintie in Töölö
Tram routes 1 and 2 will run in both directions straight along Mannerheimintie. Arkadiankatu and Runeberginkatu will not be served.

Tram 8 will run from Arabia via Sörnäinen (M) and Opera to Kolmikulma. The section of route from the Opera to Jätkäsaari will not be served.
Replacement bus 8X will run from the Opera via Töölö to Pasila station from 11 April to 12 June.
Trunk bus routes 20 and 30 also serve Töölö.
Tram 7 will not serve Mäkelänkatu
In Pasila, the construction of the Kalasatama–Pasila tramway will extend to Radanrakentajantie.
Tram 7 will be diverted from Sörnäinen Metro Station via Urheilukatu and Aleksis Kiven katu to Pasila station from 11 April. Mäkelänkatu will not be served.
Several buses and tram 1 (until 12 June) serve Mäkelänkatu.

Tram 4 will not serve Munkkiniemi between 13 June and 19 June
A new turnaround loop will be built on Tukholmankatu by Haartmaninkatu.
Tram 4 will run to Pikku Huopalahti for a week. The section of route from Töölöntull to Munkkiniemi will not be served.
Replacement bus 4X will run from the Opera (Mäntyniemen kenttä) to Munkkiniemi.

Diversion routes of trams 1, 2, 7 and 8 between 13 June and 14 August
The improvement works on Runeberginkatu and Calouniuksenkatu will continue in Töölö. In Pasila, the construction work on the Kalasatama–Pasila tramway will extend to Mäkelänkatu. There will also be street and trakc works on Helsinginkatu by Sturenkatu.
Tram 1 to be diverted via Hakaniemi to Arabia
All of the street and track works will affect tram route 1 and the tram will be diverted via Hakaniemi to Arabia. Töölö, Mäkelänkatu and Käpylä will not be served.
Tram 1 will run from Eira via the Central Railway Station, Hakaniemi, Kallio and Sörnäinen to Arabia.
Käpylä is served by buses 56 and 69 as well as buses running along Mäkelänkatu.
Tram 2 to run only between Olympia Terminal and Opera. Replacement bus 2X to run between Postitalo and Pasila
The street work in Töölö and track work in Pasila will affect tram route 2.
Tram 2 will run from the Olympia Terminal along Mannerheimintie to the Opera. The section of route between Arkadiankatu and Runeberginkatu and Pasila will not be served.
Replacement bus 2X will run from Postitalo via Opera to Pasila.
Tram 7 will continue to be diverted via Aleksis Kiven katu
The construction work on the Kalasatama-Pasila tramway will affect tram 7.
Tram 7 will continue to run from Sörnäinen Metro Station via Urheilutalo and Aleksis Kiven katu to Pasila station.
This means there will be no tram service on Mäkelänkatu between 13 June and 14 August as both tram routes 1 and 7 will be diverted. Mäkelänkatu will be served by buses.
Tram 8 will not run between 13 June and 14 August. The tram will be replaced by bus 8 8X
Tram 8 will not run because of the street works in Töölö and on Helsinginkatu.
The tram will be replaced by tram 8X, which will run from Jätkäsaari via Opera and Sörnäinen to Arabia 13 June to 14 August.

Switch to autumn timetables on 15 August
The trams will resume their normal routes and replacement buses 2X and 8X will stop running on 15 August.
Timetable changes
All tram timetables will change on 11 April, 13 June, 20 June and 15 August. Timetables for tram 5 will change when there are changes to the operation of passenger ferries.
