Shavuot Transit Updates πŸŒ±β€‹

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.

🚍 Bus Service Changes

During Shavuot holiday there will be changes in the bus schedules as follows:

  • Friday, June 3, the Shavuot Eve – there will be additional service on specific lines.
  • Saturday, June 4, Shavuot- there will be no service on most lines.
  • Sunday, June 5, the service will be similar to the schedule of Saturday evenings.

🚈 Rail Service Changes

During Shavuot, Israel Railways will operate according to a Holiday schedule, which includes additional service on specific lines on Friday, June 3, and on the evening of the holiday, Sunday, June 5.

Friday, June 3rd

  • Trains will operate between 06:00 and 15:00 (approximately) in an increased format, based on Friday schedules, with the additional service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in, as well as between Carmiel – Haifa stations – Tel Aviv – Beer Sheva. These trains will stop at the following stations: Ahihud, Acre, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Hutsot Hamifratz, Merkazit Hamifratz, Haifa Merkaz Hashmona, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Hof Hacarmel, Atlit, Binyamina, Caesarea Pardes Hanna, Hadera West, Netanya, Netanya Sapir, Beit Yehoshua, Herzliya and other stations.
  • The frequency of trains between Haifa and Tel Aviv will be two trains per hour, in each direction.
  • In addition, trains will operate on lines that operate every Friday:
    • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya
    • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center
    • Be’er Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon
    • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon
    • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof Hacarmel
    • Dimona – Beer Sheva North

Saturday evening, June 4 on Shavuot Eve there will be no service

Sunday, June 5 – ShavuotΒ 

  • Trains will operate between 21:00 and 24:00 (approximately) in an increased format, based on Saturday night schedules, with additional service between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in and between Carmiel – Haifa stations – Tel Aviv – Beer Sheva.
  • Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, the frequency of trains will be two trains per hour, in each direction.
  • In addition, trains will operate on lines that operate every Saturday:
    • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya
    • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center
    • Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon
    • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon
    • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof Hacarmel
    • Dimona – Beer Sheva North

Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
