New bus line to Ben Gurion Airport and rail service changes 🚍🚈

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.

🚍 A new nightline between Haifa and Ben Gurion Airport has been launched.

A new line operated by Egged will operate between Haifa and Ben Gurion Airport line.

As of May 28, the line (numbered 905)will operate between Haifa Merkazit Hamifratz and Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport on the same route in both directions. To view the full route and schedules, search for the line on the Lines tabπŸ“±


πŸš‹ Jerusalem Light Rail service changes

πŸ‘‰ Thursday, May 26th

During Jerusalem Day celebrations on Thursday, May 26, the Light Rail will extend the service hours and will operate throughout the whole night.

πŸ‘‰ Sunday, May 29th

On Jerusalem Day, May 29, between 16: 45 and 21: 00 (approximately), the flag parade will take place in Jerusalem. There will be no service between Central Station and Givat Ha’tachmoshet stations. Therefore, the Light Rail will operate in a reduced format:

  • From Mount Herzl station to Central Station in both directions
  • From Air Force station to the Givat Ha’tachmoshe station in both directions

The service will be renewed after the event.


🚈 Israel Railways service changes

Thursday night, May 26th

Due to maintenance work, rail service (including all lines) will gradually end on Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM instead of at midnight (approximately).Β  In addition, on Friday, May 27, the train that departs from Ashkelon station at 4:48 and ends its journey at Herzliya station at 6:42 will not operate.

🚌 Free shuttles will be operated druing these days:

Thursday, May 26th

From Ashkelon station (dropoff only at Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim stations) to Beer Sheva Central station at 23:00 and 24:00

From Ashkelon station (dropoff only at Ashdod, Yavne West, Rishon Lezion Moshe Dayan, Bat Yam, Holon) to Tel Aviv Savidor Central station at 22:00, 23:00 and 24:00Β 

From Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station to Ashkelon Station at 22:15 and 23:15

From Ben Gurion Airport station to Tel Aviv Savidor Central station: from 21:00 to 01:00 every 30 minutes

From Ben Gurion Airport to Haifa Hof Hacarmel Station: from 21:00 to 01:00 every 60 minutes

Friday, May 27th

From Ashkelon station (dropoff only at Ashdod, Yavne West, Rishon Lezion Moshe Dayan, Bat Yam, Holon stations) to Tel Aviv Savidor Central station at: 05:00 AM

Due to Police activity, rail service on the Herzliya-Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line will be temporarily suspended on Friday, May 27, during all hours of service, and the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station will be closed for service on this day.

Rail service on the line will return to normal on Saturday.


Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
