Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
City Circle🏙
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 7 October
- Some trains run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Homebush and Strathfield.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Lidcombe and Central.
- From 4.30pm Sunday until 2am Monday, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard or Lindfield and North Sydney only.
T1 Western Line
Monday 7 October
- From 2.30am until 6.15am, trains from Penrith to the City run to a changed timetable via the T3 Bankstown Line. Trains from the City run via Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.
- If you are travelling to stations between Lidcombe and Strathfield please change at Granville for a bus towards Strathfield. Trains run between Strathfield and the City.
- From 6.15am Monday until 2am Tuesday, trains make an extra stop at Burwood.
Wednesday 9 October
- From 11.10pm until 2am, trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, buses replace trains between Granville and Strathfield.
- From 4.30pm Sunday until 2am Monday, Penrith trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️
Monday 7 October
- From 2.30am until 6.15am, buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
If you are travelling to the City please change at Granville for a T1 Western Line train via the T3 Bankstown Line, or change at Granville for buses towards Strathfield.
- From 6.15am Monday until 2am Tuesday, Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, making extra stops at Homebush and Croydon.
Wednesday 9 October
- From 11.10pm until 2am, buses replace Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Buses replace Homebush trains between Strathfield and Central.
- Trains do not stop at Ashfield.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, trains run between Leppington and the City via the T3 Bankstown Line.
From 4.30pm Sunday until 2am Monday, Leppington trains start and end at Central platforms 1-12.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Sydenham and Central.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Sydenham and Central.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 7 October
- Trains continue to run between Quakers Hill and Liverpool, but to a changed timetable.
Tuesday 8 October
- Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, extra trains run between Olympic Park, Strathfield and the City.
T8 Airport & South Line
Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 October
- Nightly from 10.10pm until 2am, buses replace trains between East Hills and Sydenham.
- Nightly from 10.50pm until 2am, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
T9 Northern Line
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- From 4.30pm Sunday until 2am Monday, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
Blue Mountains Line 🛤
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Lidcombe and Central.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Blue Mountains Line stations and Central via the T3 Bankstown Line, arriving up to 20 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 October
- Nightly from 10.15pm until 3.20am, buses replace trains between Gosford and Wyong.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
Hunter Line
Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 October
- From 11pm until 1am, some trains run up to 10 minutes later than the normal timetable.
South Coast Line
Saturday 5 to Monday 7 October
- Buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong.
Saturday 12 October
- From 8am until 4pm, at Stanwell Park, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
Sunday 13 October
- From 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
