Trackwork: Monday 16 to Sunday 22 March 2020

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    City Circle🏙

    Monday 16 to Thursday 19 March
    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 21 March
    • From 7.45am until 11.45am, Penrith trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
    Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March
    • From 7.40pm Saturday until 8.10am Sunday, Buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone.
    Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 March
    • From 10.30pm Saturday until 8.30am Sunday, Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make an extra stop at Homebush.

    T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️

    Monday 16 to Thursday 19 March
    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, some trains from the City start at Central. You may need to changed trains at Central to continue your journey.
    Saturday 21 March
    • From 7.45am until 11.45am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Ashfield and the City only.
    • From 10.30pm until 12.30am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Strathfield and the City only.
    Sunday 22 March
    • From 12.30am until 6.30am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Ashfield and the City only.
    • From 6.30am until 10.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Ashfield and Central.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 16 to Thursday 19 March
    • Nightly from 10.05pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek.
    Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March
    • Buses replace trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 March
    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only.
    Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March
    • From 7.40pm Saturday until 8.10am Sunday, buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 16 to Thursday 19 March
    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains to the City end at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March
    • From 10.30pm Saturday until 8.30am Sunday, most trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.
    • From 6.30am to 8.30am, trains also make an extra stop at Croydon.

    Blue Mountains Line 🛤 

    Until further notice
    • Due to infrastructure damage caused by bushfires, buses continue to replace some trains.

    South Coast Line 

    Monday 16 to Thursday 19 March
    • Nightly from 10.05pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but will make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
    Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March
    • Buses replace trains between Dapto and Central, and between Port Kembla and Wollongong.
