Trackwork: Monday 9 to Sunday 15 March 2020

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    City Circle🏙

    Monday 9 March
    • From 10pm until 11.55pm, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.55pm until 1am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 March
    • From 9.40pm until 2am, Penrith trains make an extra stop at Homebush.
    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Burwood and Ashfield.
    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
    • On Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, Richmond trains start and end at Strathfield.

    T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 March
    • From 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace Homebush trains between Strathfield and Central.
    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.
    • Leppington trains run to a changed timetable and make an extra stop at Homebush. Some trains run between Leppington and Strathfield only.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 9 March
    • From 10pm until 1am, trains run around the City Circle to a changed timetable, in one direction only.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March
    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
    • From 10pm Saturday until 2am Sunday, buses replace trains between Glenfield and East Hills.
    Monday 9 March
    • From 10pm until 1am, trains start and end at Central, platform 22/23.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.

    Blue Mountains Line 🛤 

    Until further notice
    • Due to infrastructure damage caused by bushfires and a landslide, buses continue to replace some trains.
    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line 

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.

    Hunter Line 

    Wednesday 11 March
    • Buses replace the 08:14 Newcastle Interchange to Muswellbrook and the 10:09 Muswellbrook to Newcastle Interchange services.
    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March
    • Buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line 

    Saturday 14 March
    • From 8am until 4pm, at Stanwell Park, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
    Sunday 15 March
    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
