Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- From 1 November, COVID Safe capacity on public transport will increase to around 75 percent. More green dots will allow you to sit next to each other. Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
Metro
Monday 1 to Thursday 4 November
- Nightly from 9pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.
City Circle
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard.
T1 Western Line
Tuesday 2 November
- From 11pm until 1.30am, trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Tuesday 2 November
- From 10.50pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Homebush trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Liverpool and Lidcombe, then running to the normal timetable between Homebush and the City.
T3 Bankstown Line
Friday 5 to Sunday 7 November
- From 10.30pm Friday to 2am Monday, buses replace trains between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham via Bankstown.
- Until 10.30am Saturday, trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park, stopping all-stations between Cabramatta and Lidcombe.
- From 10.30am Saturday until 2am Monday, trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all-stations between Cabramatta and Lidcombe.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Monday 1 to Thursday 4 November
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
T8 Airport & South Line
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
T9 Northern Line
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Saturday 6 November
- From 7am until 11am, at Cowan, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
Sunday 7 November
- From 6.40am until 11am, at Cowan, trains towards Gosford leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
Hunter Line
Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 November
- Until 10.30am Wednesday, buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
South Coast Line
Wednesday 3 and Friday 5 November
- Some trains run to a changed timetable, 5 minutes later than the normal timetable.
