Trackwork Monday 2 November to Sunday 8 November ​ 2020

Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

 

Metro

Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November

  • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, trackwork will not affect Metro services but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.

 

City Circle

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

 

T1 North Shore Line

Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November

  • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Central.

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Wynyard only.

 

T1 Western Line

Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November

  • Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 November

  • Nightly from 10.45pm until 1.30am, trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.

Friday 6 November

  • From 10pm until 1.30am, Penrith trains make an extra stop at Burwood.

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12 only.
  • On Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, Richmond trains run between Richmond and Strathfield only.

 

T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 November

  • From 10.45pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.

Friday 6 November

  • From 10pm until 1.30am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Ashfield and the City Circle only.

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

 

T3 Bankstown Line

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Sydenham only.

 

T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

 

T8 Airport & South Line

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.

 

T9 Northern Line

Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November

  • Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Trains run between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12 via Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.

 

Blue Mountains Line

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

 

Central Coast & Newcastle Line

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

  • Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

 

Hunter Line

Wednesday 4 November

  • Buses replace selected trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
