Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 3 to Sunday 9 April 2023

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Train replacement buses may be impacted due to bus driver shortages.
    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.

    City Circle Line

    Monday 3 April

    • From 9.50pm to 11.55pm, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.55pm to 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall. 

    Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm to 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms.

    T1 Western Line

    Friday 7 to Monday 10 April

    • Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Olympic Park only. You may need to change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Saturday 8 April

    • From 5.30am to 8am, Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City, and will not stop at Ashfield.
    • T9 Northern Line trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Friday 7 to Monday 10 April

    • Buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland, and between Central and Bondi Junction.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and North Sydney.
    • Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place Station. Buses leave from nearby bus stops or you can catch the light rail to Town Hall or Central.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 8 April

    • From 5.30am to 8am, some trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.

    Hunter Line

    Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 April

    • Buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland.
    • On Wednesday, buses also replace some trains between Telarah and Maitland.
    • Tuesday and Wednesday, nightly from 7.20pm to 4.30am, buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 3 to Thursday 6 April

    • Buses replace selected trains between Wollongong and Kiama.

    Friday 7 to Monday 10 April

    • Buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong, Dapto and Sutherland, and between Central and Bondi Junction.
    • You may need to change buses to continue your journey.
