Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 3 May to Sunday 9 May 2021

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    City Circle

    Monday 3 to Thursday 6 May

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 8 May

    • From 10.30pm until 3.30am Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra and Hornsby.
    • Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains are replaced by buses between Central and Wyong.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
    • Direct trains to the City run via Bankstown, or you can change at Lidcombe for a T3 Bankstown Line service.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 3 to Thursday 6 May

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, some trains from the City start at Central.
    • City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    Friday 7 May

    • From 10pm until 2am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Strathfield and the City only.

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

      • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
      • If you are travelling to the City you can change at Glenfield for a T8 Airport & South Line service, or at Liverpool or Lidcombe for a T3 Bankstown Line service.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern, with extra trains running between Lidcombe and Lindfield via Sydenham.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Daily from 5.30am until 11am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland.
    • On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, then continue to Penrith or Leppington.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 3 to Thursday 6 May

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 10.40pm, trains to the City end at Central.
    • Nightly from 10pm until 2am, buses replace trains between East Hills and Sydenham.
    • Nightly from 10.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Extra trains run between Rhodes and the City Circle.
    • On Saturday from 7.30pm until 3.30am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Epping.
    • Buses also replace Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 3 to Thursday 6 May

    • Nightly from 7.30pm until 11.30pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Penrith.
    • Nightly from 9.10pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Penrith to Lithgow.

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Buses replace trains between Blacktown and Central.
    • Trains from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations leave 30 minutes later than normal.
    • Some trains between Bathurst and Lithgow also run to a changed timetable

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Saturday 8 May  

    • From 6pm until 3.30am, buses replace trains from Central to Wyong.
    • From 7pm until 3.30am, buses replace trains from Wyong to Central.
    • Trains run between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong, some to a changed timetable.

    Hunter Line

    Saturday 8 May  

    • From 6pm until 3.45am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange. Some buses extend to Singleton.

    South Coast Line

    Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May

    • Daily from 5.30am until 11am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville.
    • On Saturday from 11.30am until 1pm, trains to the City make an extra stop at Mortdale.
    • On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Mortdale, Arncliffe and Sydenham.
