Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
Metro
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 April
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, no trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.
- If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 April
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Central.
- T1 Western and T9 Northern Line trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
T1 Western Line
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 April
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Emu Plains or Penrith and the City, making extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield.
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only. If you are travelling towards the City change trains at Parramatta.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City, and between Fairfield and Strathfield only, making an extra stop at Homebush.
- The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Bankstown.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Lidcombe and the City via Sydenham.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 April
- Nightly from 11pm until 2.40am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sutherland, and between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 April
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start or end at Olympic Park.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City, and between Schofields and Olympic Park.
- Early morning and evening trains run between Richmond and Fairfield.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Extra trains run between Olympic Park and Schofields or Richmond.
T8 Airport & South Line
- Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May Buses replace trains between Macarthur and Glenfield, then continue to Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via the Airport.
T9 Northern Line
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 April
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.
Blue Mountains Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- From 6.25pm Saturday until 3.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Morisset and Hornsby.
- Trains run between Newcastle Interchange and Morisset, and between Hornsby and Central, some to a changed timetable.
- If you are travelling to Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations change at Hornsby, not Berowra, for a bus.
Hunter Line
Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 April
- From 4am Tuesday until 10.15pm Thursday, buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland.
- Trains between Dungog, Maitland and Newcastle Interchange may run up to 15 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 April
- Nightly from 7.20pm until 4.30am, buses replace trains between Scone, Telarah and Newcastle Interchange.
Saturday 1 May
- From 6pm until 3.45am, buses replace trains between Singleton, Telarah and Newcastle Interchange.
South Coast Line
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 April
- From 1.15pm Monday to 3.30am Thursday, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Dapto.
- On Monday and Tuesday, nightly from 11.50pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong.
- On Thursday from 3.30am to 12pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Kiama only.
Southern Highlands Line
Friday 30 April
- From 8pm until 2am, buses replace trains from Moss Vale to Campbelltown.
- From 9.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains from Campbelltown to Moss Vale.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May
- Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown.
- Some buses also run between Moss Vale and Central.
