Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- From Monday 23 August, all public transport services within Greater Sydney including Intercity services are running to a reduced timetable.
Metro
Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September
- Nightly from 7pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.
City Circle
Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
T1 North Shore Line
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
T1 Western Line
Tuesday 7 September
- From 11pm until 1.30am, trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Penrith trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Tuesday 7 September
- From 10.50pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Homebush trains will not run. Leppington trains run to a changed timetable, stopping at all stations between Homebush and Central.
Sunday 12 September
- From 5.15am until 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 11 September
- Nightly from 10.50pm until 5.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Central.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Buses replace trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central.
- Some replacement buses start and end at Redfern.
T5 Cumberland Line
Sunday 12 September
- From 5.15am until 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
- From 9.40am until 12pm, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville, and between Richmond and Olympic Park.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, some trains start or end at Central. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Trackwork on the T4 Illawarra and South Coast lines may affect how you travel.
T9 Northern Line
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
Blue Mountains Line
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Strathfield only.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September
- Trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only.
Hunter Line
- Sunday 12 September
- Buses replace selected trains between Newcastle Interchange and Telarah.
