Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 13 September to Sunday 19 September

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • From Monday 23 August, all public transport services within Greater Sydney including Intercity services are running to a reduced timetable. 

    Metro

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 and Sunday 19 September

    • Nightly from 7pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Central.

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Gordon.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September 

    • Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Emu Plains or Penrith and the City, making extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield. 
    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
    • On Saturday from 6.30am until 10.30am, Richmond trains start and end at Homebush.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Strathfield only.
    • The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September

    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but will make an extra stop at Arncliffe. 

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Daily from 5.30am until 11am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 September

    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start or end at Olympic Park.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Extra trains run between Olympic Park and Richmond.

    T9 Northern Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and the City via Strathfield, making extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 September

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but will make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham. 

    Friday 17 to Monday 20 September

    • From 9pm Friday until 2am Monday, buses replace trains Bomaderry and Wollongong.

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September

    • Daily from 5.30am until 11am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville.
    • On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.
