Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 8 to Sunday 14 August

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 and Sunday 14 August

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.
    • Monday to Thursday, buses also replace trains on the T1 North Shore Line. If travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a T9 Northern Line train to Central.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 August

    • Nightly from 9.10pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Central.
    • Nightly from 9.35pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains from Central to Hornsby.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable between Berowra and Hornsby.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 August

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12. 

    Wednesday 10 August

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, most trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood. 

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Wednesday 10 August

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, buses replace Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
    • Trains run between Ashfield and the City Circle.
    • Leppington trains make an extra stop at Homebush but will not stop at Ashfield

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August

    • Homebush trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park.
    • Extra trains also run between Ashfield and the City, continuing to Kingsgrove via the Airport.
    • Saturday from 6.20am until 10.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Friday 12 August

    • Buses replace the 00:30 Central to Liverpool service from Sydenham to Liverpool, and the 00:52 Lidcombe to Bankstown service. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August

    • Buses replace trains between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham.
    • Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all stations to Lidcombe.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line,

    Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 August

    • Nightly from 10.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla or Waterfall and Sutherland, and between Sydenham and Bondi Junction.

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August

    • All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
    • Daily from 8am until 8pm, extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 13 August

    • From 6.20am until 10.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
    • From 10.40am until 12.30pm, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, and between Schofields and Olympic Park.
    • You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 August

    • Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe. 

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August

    • Extra trains run between Kingsgrove and the City via the Airport, continuing to Ashfield.

    T9 Northern Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 August

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, trains run between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line. 

    South Coast Line

    Saturday 13 August

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Corrimal, Bellambi, Woonona and Bulli,
      trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.

    Sunday 14 August

    • From 8am until 4pm, at North Wollongong, Fairy Meadow, Towradgi and Corrimal, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
