Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 14 to Sunday 20 March 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Due to severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations are expected on most Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink Intercity and Regional trains services and buses in affected areas. Allow extra travel time and avoid non-essential travel.
    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 March  

    • Nightly from 8.35pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Central.

    Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 March 

      • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Central.

    T1 Western Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Saturday 19 March

    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-12, only.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March  

    • Nightly from 10.20pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. 

    Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March

    • Homebush trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Liverpool and Lidcombe then running to the normal timetable between Homebush and the City.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe, Bankstown and Central.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 14 to Thursday 17 March  

    • Nightly from 10.50pm until 2.40am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville. 

    Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March

    • Buses replace trains between Hurstville and Central. Some buses start and end at Redfern.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur. 

    Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March

    • Nightly from 10.20pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur. 

    Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March

    • Trackwork on the T4 Illawarra and South Coast lines may affect how you travel.

    T9 Northern Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.

    Wednesday 16 March

    • From 12.20am until 3.20am, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Gosford, in that direction only. 

    South Coast Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur. 

    Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Waterfall only.
    • T4 Illawarra Line trains run between Waterfall and Hurstville only, with buses replacing all trains between Hurstville and Central.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Ongoing

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations may occur.
