Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 7 to Sunday 13 March 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Due to severe weather conditions, significant delays and cancellations are expected on most Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink Intercity and Regional trains services and buses in affected areas. Allow extra travel time and avoid non-essential travel.
    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    City Circle

    Monday 7 March

    • From 9.50pm until 11.55pm, City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.55pm until 1.30am, City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall. 

    Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 March

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Penrith trains make an extra stop at Flemington.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 7 March

    • From 9.50pm until 1.30am, City Circle trains run to a changed timetable, in one direction only.

    Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 March

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, some trains from the City start at Central.

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Leppington trains run every 30 minutes between Leppington and the City Circle via Granville. Extra trains run between Leppington and Richmond.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Daily from 6.30am until 12.15pm, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • On Sunday from 1pm until 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 7 March

    • From 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains start or end at Central. 

    Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 March

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains to the City end at Central. 

    Saturday 12 March

    • From 8.40am until 3pm, buses replace the all-stations trains between Wolli Creek and Revesby. 

    Sunday 13 March

    • From 9am until 3pm, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Revesby and Turrella.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Flemington and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.

    Hunter Line

    Thursday 10 March

    • Buses replace selected trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook. 

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line

    Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March

    • Daily from 6.30am until 12.15pm, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville.
    • On Sunday from 1pm until 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.
