Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- From 1 November, COVID Safe capacity on public transport will increase to around 75 percent. More green dots will allow you to sit next to each other. Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
City Circle
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Richmond trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Friday 26 November
- Buses replace the 00:52 Lidcombe to Bankstown service.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Bankstown.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 9.55pm until 1am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
T5 Cumberland Line
Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 November
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start or end at Olympic Park.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.
- On Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, trains run between Schofields and Strathfield.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Macarthur and Glenfield, then continue to Fairfield.
Hunter Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- From 4am Monday until 11pm Thursday, buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland.
Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 November
- Nightly from 7.20pm until 4.30am, buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
South Coast Line
Monday 22 to Thursday 25 November
- Nightly from 10.30pm until 1am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.

- From 11.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Thirroul and Waterfall.
Tuesday 23 November
- From 11.30pm until 2.20am, buses replace trains between Wollongong and Waterfall.
Wednesday 24 November
- From 11.40pm until 3am, buses replace trains between Thirroul and Kiama, in both directions, and from Thirroul to Port Kembla, in that direction only.
Friday 26 November
- From 9.20am until 2pm, buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
- Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
- From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
- On Saturday from 8am until 4pm, at Stanwell Park, trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
Southern Highlands Line

- From 8pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Moss Vale and Campbelltown.
