Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 15 November to Sunday 21 November 2021

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • From 1 November, COVID Safe capacity on public transport will increase to around 75 percent. More green dots will allow you to sit next to each other. Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Monday 15 to Thursday 18 November

    • Nightly from 9pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Monday 15 November

    • From 9.50pm until 11.55pm, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.55pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall. 

    Friday 19 November

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. 

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November

    • Buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 

    • Trains continue to run however trackwork on the City Circle may affect how you travel.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November

    • Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and the City Circle.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 15 November

    • From 9.50pm until 1.30am, City Circle trains run to a changed timetable, in one direction only. 

    Friday 19 November

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. 

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 

    • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield, and the all-stations trains between Ashfield and Central. 

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 15 November

    • From 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle to a changed timetable, in one direction only.

    Friday 19 to Sunday 21 November

    • From 11pm Friday, trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Sydenham only, some to a changed timetable.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Friday 19 to Sunday 21 November

    • From 11pm Friday, all Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Sunday 14 November

    • From 5.30am until 11.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 

    • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 15 November

    • From 9.50pm until 1.30am, some trains start or end at Central. Some trains continue to run around the City Circle, to a changed timetable.

    Monday 15 to Thursday 18 November

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham.
    • Nightly from 10.45pm until 2am, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. 

    Friday 19 November

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platform 23 due to City Circle trackwork.

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November 

    • Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. 

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November

    • Trains run to a changed timetable, making extra stops at Croydon and Ashfield.

    Hunter Line

    Wednesday 17 November

    • Buses replace selected trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook.

    South Coast Line

    Sunday 21 November 

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Helensburgh and Otford, trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
