Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 28 to Sunday 3 April 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro 

    Sunday 3 April

    • From 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    Circle

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Buses replace trains between Gordon and Wynyard.

    T1 Western Line

    Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at some stations between Strathfield and Macdonaldtown. 

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
    • Trains run between Blacktown and Olympic Park only. You may need to change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey.
    • Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, the all-stations Homebush trains will not run. 

    Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 April

    • Buses replace the all-stations trains between Ashfield and Central. Homebush trains will not run.
    • Leppington trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and Ashfield only.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.

    T9 Northern Line

    Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at some stations between Strathfield and Macdonaldtown.

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield. 

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 28 March to Friday 1 April                              

    • Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria. 

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April

    • Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Springwood.

    South Coast Line

    Saturday 2 April

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Corrimal, Bellambi, Woonona and Bulli, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1. 

    Sunday 3 April

    • From 8am until 4pm, at North Wollongong, Fairy Meadow and Towradgi, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
