Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 4 April to Sunday 10 April 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    City Circle

    Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 9 April

    • From 5.50am until 9am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
    • From 9am until 11am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Schofields.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    Sunday 10 April

    • From 2am until 9am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Saturday 9 April

    • From 5.30am until 8am, trains run between Waterfall or Cronulla and the City Circle.
    • Trains run between Bondi Junction and Central only.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 9 April

    • From 5.50am until 9am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
    • From 9am until 11am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Schofields.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains from the City start at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between East Hills and Sydenham.
    • Trains run between Macarthur and East Hills, and until 10.30pm between Wolli Creek and the City via the Airport, some to a changed timetable.
    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 1.30am, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. 

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 4 to Friday 8 April                        

    • Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria.
    • Buses also replace some trains between Bathurst and Lithgow, and between Bathurst and Katoomba.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 April

    • From 6.50pm Saturday until 7.15am Sunday, buses replace trains between Morisset and Hornsby.

    Hunter Line

    Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 April

    • From 4am Tuesday until 10pm Thursday, buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland. Buses also replace some trains between Telarah and Maitland. 
    • Tuesday and Wednesdaynightly from 7.20pm until 4.30am, buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line

    Until further notice

    • At Stanwell Park, trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
    • Some South Coast Line trains may run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Trains may leave some stations earlier than normal. 

    Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April

    • Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong.
    • On Saturday from 5.30am until 8am, trains run between Wollongong and the City Circle.
    • On Monday from 2am until 12pm, buses continue to replace trains between Bomaderry and Kiama. 

    Saturday 9 April

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coalcliff, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1. 

    Sunday 10 April

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
