    National Rail: Industrial Action to affect services on various dates in July

    Description

    The RMT Union have announced three days of strike action to affect several train operating companies. This is taking place today and also on Saturday 22 July and Saturday 29 July.

    In addition, the ASLEF union, have announced action short of a strike affecting some train operators from Monday 17 July to Saturday 22 July; and from Monday 31 July to Saturday 5 August. This action involves ASLEF members withdrawing from working overtime during this time.

    • Heathrow Express

    • Island Line

    • LNER

    • London Northwestern Railway

    • Northern

    • Southeastern

    • Southern

    • South Western Railway

    • Stansted Express

    • Thameslink

    • TransPennine Express

    • West Midlands Railway

    ASLEF action short of a strike – from Monday 17 July to Saturday 22 July; and from Monday 31 July to Saturday 5 August

    The following train operating companies are affected by the ASLEF action short of a strike and have indicated that they do not expect to be able to run their full timetable. Please check before you travel:

    • Chiltern Railways

    • Gatwick Express

    • Great Northern

    • Southern

    • South Western Railway and Island Line

    • Thameslink

    The following train operating companies may also be affected. They are currently expecting to be able to run their full timetable although they might experience short notice cancellations. Please check before you travel:

    • East Midlands Railway

    • Great Western Railway

    • London Northwestern Railway

    • Northern

    • TransPennine Express
