Optional Strike And Countrywide Transit Updates 🚍

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.

❗ Public transport drivers strike on Friday, June 17th

This upcoming Friday, June 17, there will be a strike, held by public transport drivers between 10:00 and 12:00. The strike will probably take place in the following cities: Jerusalem, Petah Tikva, Bnei Brak, Ben Gurion Airport, Netanya, Rosh HaAyin, Gan Yavne, Ashdod, Beer Sheva, Yavne, Samaria Regional Council, and Ariel. It is recommended to take this into consideration towards planning your trip.


🚍 Transit improvements and changes in Gush Dan 

These are the main changes, which began on June 10 on Egged’s lines:

New lines: 16, 276

Lines whose routes has changed: 11, 17, 21, 31, 85, 95, 96, 163, 201, 204, 270, 277, 302, 304

Increased service: 6, 15, 20, 74, 143, 205, 190, 193

Canceled lines: 14, 98, 203

🚍 Jerusalem – Bus changes in Superbus company

As of June 10, Superbus company is operating two new lines – 62 and 92 which will replace line 32 (Gilo – Ramot). In addition, Line 31 will be operated from now by Superbus, without any route changes and with an improvement in schedule,

πŸš‹ Starting June 22: An alternative bus service for the Light Rail riders in Jerusalem

As part of the maintenance work of the Light Rail, starting on Wednesday, June 22, and for about two months, works will take place at the intersection of Rabbi Zvi Yehuda and Herzl Boulevard.

Due to the works, the Light Rail will operate between the Air Force and Central Station. Therefore, the following stations will be closed: Kiryat Moshe, Hachalutz, Denya Square, Yaffe Nof, and Mount Herzl.

An alternative bus service will be operated for the riders via lines 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, and 29 which will be extended to Central Station and back.

These are the key changes, which began on June 10:

New and fast lines: Nativ Express – 250, 360

Lines whose frequency has been increased: Nativ Express – 2, 367, 368, Egged – 505

Lines whose route has changed: Nativ Express – 176, 271, 272, 281, 296, 361, 471, Egged – 262, 263, 500, 503

Canceled lines:Β  Nativ Express – 54, 270, 363, 369, 371, Egged – 264, 509

🚍 Starting June 10: Transit improvements and changes in Ashdod

These are the main changes that began on June 10 in the city of Ashdod along the Electra Afikim lines:

New lines: 16, 29, 33 a

Lines whose routes have changed: 2, 2A, 4, 4A, 5, 7, 9, 9A, 11, 12, 23, 33

Canceled lines: 7A, 6

Lines whose number was replaced: 8, 8a -> 35, 35a
