CTA Weekday Service Changes

Monday, September 6, is Labor Day (service runs on a Sunday/Holiday schedule)

More fun, less fare! We’re offering discounted pass prices on 1-Day, 3-Day and 7-Day CTA passes thru Labor Day 2021—ride all day for just $5 or less!

Federal mask mandate remains in effect: A federal directive requires that all passengers wear a mask on public transit, regardless of vaccination status. Refusing to wear a mask is a violation of federal law; passengers may be subject to penalties.

Labor Day Weekend – Extra Beach Service

Saturday, September 4 through Monday, September 6, bus shuttle service will be provided to some of Chicago’s beaches between 9am and 9:30pm, daily:

#35 31st/35th: Shuttle between 35th/Cottage Grove and 31st Street Beach.
#63 63rd: Shuttle between 63rd/Stony Island and 63rd Street Beach.
#72 North: Shuttle between North Ave./Clark and North Avenue Beach.
#78 Montrose: Shuttle between Montrose/Marine and Montrose Beach.
Customers can transfer to and from the beach shuttles at the designated terminal. Shuttles are scheduled to arrive approximately every 15 minutes.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Pulaski and Western (Forest Park branch)

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Kedzie-Homan station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Pulaski and Western (Forest Park branch), resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.
