PTV Service Update

    Metro Trains

    Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines

    • Buses replace trains between Parliament and Burnley stations from 8.50pm to last train each night from Sunday 2 August to Wednesday 5 August, while maintenance works take place.
    • Buses replace trains between Burnley and Box Hill/Alamein stations from 8.50pm Friday 7 August to last train Sunday 9 August, while maintenance works take place.

    Cranbourne Line

    • Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Cranbourne stations from 8.40pm Friday 31 July to last train Sunday 2 August, while project works take place.

    Frankston Line

    • Buses replace trains between Moorabbin and Frankston from midnight to 4.15am on Sunday 2 August, while project works take place

    Glen Waverley Line

    • Buses replace trains between Parliament and Darling stations from 8.40pm to last train each night from Sunday 2 August to Wednesday 5 August, while maintenance works take place.

    Hurstbridge Line

    • Buses replace trains between Heidelberg and Hurstbridge stations from 2.30am to 8.30pm on Sunday 2 August, due to maintenance works.

    Pakenham Line

    • Buses replace evening and night Pakenham trains between Dandenong and Pakenham from 8.30pm to last train on Thursday 30 July.
    • Buses replace evening and night Pakenham trains between Dandenong and Pakenham from:
      • 10pm Friday 31 July to 6.45am Saturday 1 August
      • 40pm Saturday 1 August to 7am Sunday 2 August
      • 40pm to last train Sunday 2 August
      • 30pm to last train each night, Monday 3 August to Thursday 6 August
      • 10pm Friday 7 August to 6.45am Saturday 8 August
      • 40pm Saturday 8 August to 7am Sunday 9 August
      • 8.40pm to last train Sunday 9 August

    Upfield Line

    • Buses replace trains on sections of the Upfield line from Monday 27 July to Sunday 15 November due to level crossing removal works. Buses replace trains:
      • Between the City (Flagstaff) and Upfield from 8.30pm Monday 27 July Sunday 2 August
      • Between Brunswick and Upfield from Monday 3 August Sunday 8 November
      • Between the City (Flagstaff) and Upfield from Monday 9 November Sunday 15 November
    • There will also be some changes to local bus stops, car park closures and road closures in the area.

    Werribee Line

    • Buses replace evening and night trains between Newport and Werribee stations from 7.25pm to last train on Thursday 30 July, due to project works.
    • Buses will replace trains between Laverton and Werribee from first train Friday 7 August to 7pm Thursday 13 August, due to project works.
    • Buses replace evening and night trains between Newport and Werribee stations due to project works from:
      • 25pm Friday 31 July to 6.10am Saturday 1 August
      • 20pm Saturday 1 August to 6.10am Sunday 2 August
      • 10pm to last train Sunday 2 August
      • 25pm to last train each night, Monday 3 August to Thursday 6 August
      • 8pm Friday 7 August to 7am Saturday 8 August
      • 8pm Saturday 8 August to 7am Sunday 9 August
      • 7pm to last train each night, Sunday 9 August to Wednesday 12 August

     

    Yarra Trams

    Routes 12 and 30

    • Route 12 and 30 trams will experiences changes to tram services from first service Monday 13 July to last service Sunday 1 November.

    Routes 19 and 58

    • Route 19 and 58 trams may experience higher than usual demand from 8.30pm on Monday 27 July to last tram on Sunday 15 November, due to level crossing removal works on the Upfield line.

     

    V/Line

    Victorian and New South Wales border closure

    • From Wednesday 8 July, NSW will temporarily shut its border with Victoria. If you’re travelling from Victoria to NSW, you’ll need a COVID-19 NSW border declaration permit before you travel. There will be changes to public transport services at the border.

    Geelong Line

    • Trains will run at slower speeds over new infrastructure between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool, and some services will not run between Waurn Ponds and Geelong from Wednesday 10 June to Tuesday 18 August, due to track works.
    • Coaches replace some evening trains for all or part of the journey on the Geelong line at select times from Sunday 9 August to Tuesday 11 August, due signal and track maintenance.

    Shepparton Line

    • Shepparton trains will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August, due to works.
