    Service Update

    Metro Trains

    Belgrave and Lilydale lines

    • Buses replace trains between Blackburn and Belgrave/Lilydale stations from 8.30pm to last train on Thursday 23 July, due to maintenance works.

    Craigieburn, Sunbury, Upfield and Werribee lines

    • Trains on the Craigieburn, Sunbury, Upfield and Werribee lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street, not via the City Loop. from 9pm to last train each night from Sunday 26 July to Wednesday 29 July.

    Cranbourne Line

    • Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Cranbourne stations from 8.40pm Friday 31 July to last train Sunday 2 August, while project works take place.

    Cranbourne and Pakenham lines

    • Train services on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines will teminate/originate at Caulfield, from 10.08am to 7.20pm on Saturday 25 July and Sunday 26 July, due to works.

    Frankston and Sandringham lines

    • Frankston and Sandringham trains run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, from 9pm to last train on Saturday 25 July, due to works.

    Frankston Line

    • Buses replace trains between Moorabbin and Frankston from midnight to 4.15am on Sunday 2 August 2020, while project works take place

    Hurstbridge Line

    • Buses replace trains between Greensborough and Hurstbridge stations from 8.30pm Friday 24 July to last train Sunday 26 July, due to maintenance works.

    Pakenham Line

    • Buses replace evening and night Pakenham trains between Dandenong and Pakenham from:
      • 10pm Friday 24 July to 6.45am Saturday 25 July
      • 40pm Saturday 25 July to 7am Sunday 26 July
      • 40pm to last train Sunday 26 July
      • 30pm to last train each night, Monday 27 July to Thursday 30 July
    • Buses replace evening and night Pakenham trains between Dandenong and Pakenham from:
      • 10pm Friday 31 July to 6.45am Saturday 1 August
      • 40pm Saturday 1 August to 7am Sunday 2 August
      • 40pm to last train Sunday 2 August

    Upfield Line

    • Buses replace trains on sections of the Upfield line from Monday 27 July to Sunday 15 November due to level crossing removal works. Buses replace trains:
      • Between the City (Flagstaff) and Upfield from 8.30pm Monday 27 July Sunday 2 August
      • Between Brunswick and Upfield from Monday 3 August Sunday 8 November
      • Between the City (Flagstaff) and Upfield from Monday 9 November Sunday 15 November

    Werribee Line

    • Buses replace evening and night trains between Newport and Werribee stations from:
      • 15pm to last train each night, Monday 20 July to Thursday 23 July
      • 25pm Friday 24 July to 6.10am Saturday 25 July
      • 20pm Saturday 25 July to 6.10am Sunday 26 July
      • 10pm to last train Sunday 26 July
      • 25pm to last train each night, Monday 27 July to Thursday 30 July
    • Buses replace evening and night trains between Newport and Werribee stations from:
      • 25pm Friday 31 July to 6.10am Saturday 1 August
      • 20pm Saturday 1 August to 6.10am Sunday 2 August
      • 10pm to last train Sunday 2 August

    Werribee and Williamstown lines

    • Trains on the Werribee and Williamstown lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop from first train to last train on Saturday 25 July, due to works.

     

    Yarra Trams

    Routes 12 and 30

    • Route 12 and 30 trams will experiences changes to tram services from first service Monday 13 July to last service Sunday 1 November.

    Routes 19 and 58

    • Route 19 and 58 trams may experience higher than usual demand from 8.30pm on Monday 27 July to last tram on Sunday 15 November 2020, due to level crossing removal works on the Upfield line.

     

    V/Line

    Victorian and New South Wales border closure

    • From Wednesday 8 July, NSW will temporarily shut its border with Victoria. If you’re travelling from Victoria to NSW, you’ll need a COVID-19 NSW border declaration permit before you travel. There will be changes to public transport services at the border.

    Geelong Line

    • Trains will run at slower speeds over new infrastructure between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool, and some services will not run between Waurn Ponds and Geelong from Wednesday 10 June to Tuesday 18 August, due to track works.
