Industrial action affecting metropolitan trams
- Due to protected industrial action, metropolitan tram services will not operate between 10am and 2pm on Thursday 28 November.
- Trams will also not operate between 10am and 2pm on Thursday 5 December.
- Services are also expected to be significantly disrupted from 2pm until approximately 3.30pm as the normal timetable is restored.
🚇Metro Trains
Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines
- Buses replace trains between Burnley and Box Hill/Alamein stations from 8.20pm to the last train each night, from Wednesday 4 December and Thursday 5 December, due to maintenance works.
Craigieburn Line
- Buses will replace trains between North Melbourne and Essendon stations from 8.50pm to last train on Sunday 8 December, due to maintenance works.
Craigieburn, Sunbury and Upfield lines
- Train services on the Craigieburn, Sunbury and Upfield lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop from 9pm to last service on Tuesday 3 December.
Craigieburn, Sunbury, Upfield, Werribee and Williamstown lines
- Trains on the Craigieburn, Sunbury, Upfield, Werribee and Williamstown lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, on Saturday 30 November.
Cranbourne, Frankston and Pakenham lines
- Buses replace trains between South Yarra and Caulfield from 8.45pm to the last train each night, Monday 25 November to Thursday 28 November, due to maintenance works.
- Buses replace trains between South Yarra and Caulfield from 8.45pm to the last train on Tuesday 3 December, due to maintenance works.
Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
- Cranbourne and Pakenham trains will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, from 8.50pm to last train Monday 2 December, due to works.
Frankston Line
- Buses replace trains between Moorabbin and Frankston from 9.15pm Friday 6 December to last train Sunday 8 December, while project works take place.
Glen Waverley Line
- Buses replace trains between Burnley and Darling stations from 8.30pm Friday 29 November to last train Sunday 1 December, due to Toorak Road level crossing removal project works.
Hurstbridge Line
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Heidelberg from 8.10pm to the last train each night, Tuesday 3 December to Wednesday 4 December, due to maintenance works.
Hurstbridge and Mernda lines
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Bell/Heidelberg from 8.10pm Friday 29 November to last train Sunday 1 December, due to maintenance works.
Mernda Line
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Mernda stations, after 7.30pm each night on Tuesday 3 December and Wednesday 4 December, while works take place.
- Buses replace trains between Thornbury and Mernda stations from first train Wednesday 4 December to last train Thursday 12 December, while works take place.
Pakenham Line
- Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Pakenham stations, 8pm to last train each night on Sunday 1 December and Monday 2 December, while project works take place.
- Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Pakenham stations, 8pm to last train each night from Sunday 8 December to Sunday 15 December, while project works take place.
Sunbury Line
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunshine stations from 8.30pm to last train on Monday 2 December, due to maintenance works.
- Buses replace trains between Footscray and Sunshine from 8.50pm to last train on Sunday 8 December, due to maintenance works.
Upfield Line
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Upfield stations from 8.40pm Friday 6 December to last train Sunday 8 December, due to maintenance works.
Werribee and Williamstown lines
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Newport/Williamstown stations from 8.30pm to last train on Monday 2 December, due to maintenance works
🚈Yarra Trams
Route 58
- There are service changes on Route 58 trams from 2am Saturday 23 November to last tram Sunday 8 December, due to construction of two new accessible platform stops, and tram track renewals.
Routes 86 and 96
- There are service changes on Routes 86 and 96 from first tram Wednesday 27 November to 5am Sunday 1 December, due to construction of two new accessible platform stops on William Street and tram track renewal
🚊V/Line
Albury and Seymour lines
- Coaches replace all Albury trains for the entire journey on Sunday 1 December, due to works taking place as part of the North East Line rail upgrade.
- Coaches will replace select Seymour line trains on the evening of Sunday 8 December, due to track works.
Ararat, Ballarat and Maryborough lines
- Coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Ballarat/Wendouree from Saturday 9 November until Sunday 1 December, due to Ballarat Line Upgrade works.
- Coaches are replacing trains between Ararat and Ballarat for the entire journey from Saturday 7 December until Friday 13 December, due to Ballarat Line Upgrade works.
Bendigo Line
- Coaches replace select evening trains between Southern Cross and Bendigo/Epsom from Sunday 8 December to Tuesday 10 December, while maintenance works take place.
Geelong Line
- Road coaches replace trains for the whole journey from 9pm to last train each night from Sunday 1 December to Tuesday 3 December, due to works.
Gippsland Line
- Road coaches replace evening trains on the Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines from Monday 25 November to Thursday 28 November, due to scheduled maintenance works.
- Road coaches replace evening trains on the Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines from Sunday 1 December to Tuesday 3 December, due to testing on the metropolitan train network and metropolitan works.
- Road coaches replace evening trains on the Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines from Sunday 8 December to Thursday 12 December, due to testing on the metropolitan train network.
🚍Metropolitan Buses
Extra Chadstone Shopping Centre buses
- From Saturday 19 October 2019 to Monday 27 January 2020, extra weekend bus services will run between Oakleigh Station and Chadstone Shopping Centre. The average wait time is 2 minutes on weekdays and 5 minutes on weekends.
Bus route 216, 219 and 220 changes
- From Sunday 17 November 2019, bus routes 216, 219 and 220 will be changed and three new routes introduced to help improve reliability
