Yom Kippur Transit Updates

    Dear riders,

    We have collected for you several public transit changes that will take place during Yom Kippur (September 15-16).

    🚍 Changes in bus service during Yom Kippur

    πŸ‘‰ On Yom Kippur eve, Wednesday 15 September, bus service will gradually end by about 14:00.

    πŸ‘‰ On Yom Kippur, Thursday 16 September, bus service will gradually resume starting at approximately 20:00.


    πŸš† Changes in the Israel Railways service

    πŸ‘‰ On Yom Kippur eve, Wednesday, September 15, trains will operate in an increased format, based on a Friday schedules, on the following lines:

    • Beer Sheva – Herzliya
    • Beit Shemesh – Tel Aviv Savidor Center
    • Best Shean – Haifa Hof Hacarmel
    • Carmiel – Haifa Hof Hacarmel
    • Dimona – Beer Sheva North University

    In addition, trains will operate between Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport stations via Acre, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Hutsot Hamifratz, Merkazit Hamifratz, Haifa Merkaz Hashmona, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Hof Hacarmel, Atlit, Binyamina, Caesarea Pardes Hanna, Hadera West, Netanya, Netanya Sapir, Beit Yehoshua, Herzliya, and all Tel Aviv stations.

    > The train departing at 05:39 in the morning from Haifa Merkaz Hashmona to Ben Gurion Airport, will start from Haifa Merkaz Hashmona (and not at Nahariya station).

    > The trains departing from Ben Gurion Airport station at 10:54 and 11:54 will end their ride at Haifa Merkaz Hashmona station (and not at Nahariya station). The train departing from Nahariya station at 11:59, will end its ride at Haifa Hof Hacarmel station (and not at Ben Gurion Airport).

    πŸ“Β On Yom Kippur, Thursday, September 16, trains will not operate.


    πŸš‹ Changes in Light Rail service in Jerusalem

    πŸ‘‰ OnΒ  Yom Kippur eve, Wednesday, September 15, the Light Rail service will end at approximately 14:00.

    πŸ‘‰ On Yom Kippur eve, Thursday 16 September, the Light Rail service will resume starting at approximately 21:00.


    We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.

    Moovit is updated with the latest changes released by the Ministry of Transportation.
