Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 4 to Sunday 10 July

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Due to severe weather conditions, public transport service in some parts of NSW may be disrupted and run to an altered frequency or stopping pattern. Avoid non-essential travel. 
    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    T1 Western Line

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains run to a changed timetable, making extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield.
    • Saturday and Sunday, Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington only. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 4 to Friday 8 July

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Each morning and afternoon some trains run between Leppington and the City via Regents Park.
    • Until 10pm Friday, extra trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all stations to Lidcombe then Strathfield, Burwood, Ashfield, Newtown, Redfern, Central and the City Circle. 

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
    • Leppington trains start and end at Strathfield, running via Granville and Regents Park every 30 minutes.
    • The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 4 to Friday 8 July

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham.
    • Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all stations to Lidcombe, then limited stops to the City Circle.
    • Trains also run between Sydenham and the City Circle, stopping at St Peters and Erskineville.
    • From 10pm Friday, trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. 

    Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham.
    • Trains run between Leppington, Liverpool and Strathfield via Regents Park. Change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 July

    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start and end at Olympic Park.
    • Change trains at Granville to continue your journey.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 4 to Friday 8 July

    • Each morning and afternoon extra trains run between Revesby and the City via Sydenham.

    T9 Northern Line

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and the City making extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 4 to Thursday 7 July

    • Nightly from 9.35pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Gosford to Wyong.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable from Central to Gosford but run up to 20 minutes later than normal from Wyong to Newcastle Interchange.
    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Wyong to Gosford. 

    Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
    • Some trains may leave up to 5 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Central and Strathfield.

    Hunter Line

    Saturday 9 July

    • From 8.50pm until 2.20am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Telarah.
    • From 9.45pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Telarah to Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 4 July

    • Buses replace the following trains:
      • 05:18 Bomaderry to Kiama
      • 05:50 Kiama to Bomaderry
    • An express bus will also run from Bomaderry, Berry and Gerringong to Dapto to connect with trains travelling towards Central. 

    Saturday 9 July

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coalcliff and Stanwell Park, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.

    Sunday 10 July

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
