Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
- Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
Metro
Monday 18 to Thursday 21 and Sunday 24 July
- Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.
- Monday to Thursday, buses also replace trains on the T1 North Shore Line. If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 18 to Thursday 21 July
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Gordon and North Sydney.
- Trains run between Berowra and Gordon, and between North Sydney and Penrith or Hornsby via Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon.
- Trains continue to run between Gordon and the City, to a changed timetable.
T1 Western Line
Until further notice
Due to flooding on the tracks, buses replace trains between Richmond and Schofields. Trains run to a changed timetable between Riverstone or Schofields and the City.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Penrith trains make an extra stop at Burwood.
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City.
- Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, trains run between Richmond and Leppington. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Wednesday 20 July
- From 10.20am until 1.20pm, buses replace trains between Leppington and Liverpool.
- Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Granville and Bankstown.
- You can also change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Inner West trains run to a changed timetable between Homebush and Gordon on the T1 North Shore Line.
- You will need to change trains if travelling to some City Circle stations.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 July
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start and end at Olympic Park.
- Change trains at Granville to continue your journey.
Wednesday 20 July
- From 10.20am until 1.20pm, buses replace trains between Leppington and Liverpool.
- Trains run between Liverpool and Schofields, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Some early morning and late night trains start and end at Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Extra trains run between Olympic Park and Richmond.
T9 Northern Line
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City.
Blue Mountains Line

Due to a landslip near Mount Victoria, buses replace trains between Mount Victoria and Katoomba.

- Buses replace trains between Mount Victoria and Katoomba.
- Bathurst trains are replaced by buses between Bathurst and Lithgow or Katoomba only.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Lithgow and Mount Victoria, and between Katoomba and Penrith. Limited trains will run between Katoomba and Central.
Friday 22 July
- From 11pm until 2am, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and North Sydney or the City Circle, some to a changed timetable. Some trains will also run between Katoomba and Strathfield only.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Trains run between Katoomba and Blacktown only.
- Most trains from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable.
- Change trains at Blacktown to continue your journey.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Friday 22 July
- From 11pm until 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and North Sydney or the City Circle, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July
- Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.
Hunter Line
Until further notice
Due to flooding on the tracks, buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
Friday 22 to Sunday 24 July
- From 11pm Friday, buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
Southern Highlands Line

- Trains to and from Central start and end at Strathfield.
- Change at Strathfield for trains towards the City.
