Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 11 April to Sunday 18 April 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    City Circle

    Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 April

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
    • Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms.

    T1 Western Line

    Friday 15 to Monday 18 April 

    • Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Olympic Park only. You may need to change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey.
    • On Sunday from 5.30am until 9am, Richmond trains start and end at Strathfield.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 April

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
    • Some trains start or end at Central. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.

    Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 April

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. 

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Friday 15 to Monday 18 April 

    • Buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland, and between Central and Bondi Junction.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 April

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Richmond and Lidcombe.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 April

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, most trains start and end at Central due to City Circle trackwork.

    South Coast Line

    Until further notice

    • Due to earlier severe weather conditions buses replace trains between Thirroul and Waterfall. Significant delays and cancellations may also occur. 

    Monday 11 April

    • From 2am until 12pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Kiama. 

    Friday 15 to Monday 18 April 

    • Buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong, Dapto and Sutherland, and between Central and Bondi Junction.
