Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 5 to Sunday 11 July 2021

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    Metro

    Friday 9 to Sunday 11 July

    • From 10.55pm Friday, no trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.
    • If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.

    City Circle

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Friday 9 July

    • From 10.55pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Wynyard and North Sydney.
    • Trains run between North Sydney and Hornsby or Berowra, some to a changed timetable.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Buses replace trains between Gordon and Wynyard.
    • T9 Northern Line trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    T1 Western Line

    Friday 9 July

    • From 11pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington only. If you are travelling towards the City change trains at Parramatta.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 5 to Friday 9 July

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Liverpool and Lidcombe.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Trains run between Leppington and the City via Granville at a reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
    • Trains also run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Cabramatta and Lidcombe, every 30 minutes.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 5 to Friday 9 July

    • Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bankstown and Lidcombe only. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the City.
    • Trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Change at Regents Park if you are travelling between stations Liverpool and Sefton to stations between Birrong and Sydenham.
    • All-stations buses run between Bankstown and Sydenham, but for a faster trip to and from the City, extra express buses run to and from selected stations.
    • Extra trains run on the T8 Airport & South Line to connect with replacement buses to or from Padstow, Beverly Hills or Kingsgrove. Some trains run via Sydenham and make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bankstown and Lidcombe only. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the City.
    • Trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Change at Regents Park if you are travelling between stations Liverpool and Sefton to stations between Birrong and Sydenham.
    • T4 Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and the City, with some services making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 July

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2.40am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sutherland, and between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
    • Daily between 8am and 8pm, extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington, to a changed timetable.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 5 to Friday 9 July

    • Some trains may run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Extra trains run between Revesby and the City Circle via Sydenham. These trains stop at Revesby, Padstow, Riverwood, Beverly Hills, Kingsgrove, Sydenham, St Peters, Erskineville, Redfern, Central, then the City Circle, first stop Town Hall.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central only, platform 23.
    • Most Macarthur trains to the City continue to run around the City Circle via the Airport. Trains from the City run via Sydenham, making extra stops at Redfern and Sydenham.
    • Early morning and late evening trains run via the Airport but start and end at Central, platform 23.

    T9 Northern Line

    Friday 9 July

    • From 11pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July

      • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 July

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 3.55am, buses replace trains from Gosford to Wyong.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable from Central to Gosford but run up to 30 minutes later than normal from Wyong to Newcastle Interchange.
    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains from Wyong to Gosford.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable from Newcastle Interchange to Wyong, but run up to 25 minutes later than normal from Gosford to Central.

    Hunter Line

    Wednesday 7 July

    • Buses replace selected services between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Maitland.

    Saturday 10 July

    • From 9pm until 3.45am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange.
    • Trains run to the normal timetable between Scone or Dungog and Maitland.
